I work in low voltage and use this for crimping speaker wire and alarm wire. It feels the best crimping 2/3 14/2 wires together but hasn't disappointed me with anything from alarm beanies to large nylon closed end crimps. Same reliability as the non-American version but would rather my tools be American made! ... show more

I’d rate these pliers at 3.5 stars if I could, but I don’t mind bumping them up to 4. As a pair of lineman’s pliers, they get the job done, but after over a month on job and oiling them up, they are still pretty stiff. And you need two hands to open them up all the way if you are trying to cut larger cable like 12-3 MC, which I never had to do with Klein’s. The crimper is good and I only used the reaming feature just to try it out and I think it would be good in a pinch. I also had no issues with the fish tape puller. I like that these pliers are made in the USA and that Southwire support the Wounded Warrior Project. That definitely was a factor in my purchase. Overall, I’ll probably keep them for around the house instead of on the job. ... show more

So far I've had these for a few weeks and I have to say I like them. They are small, light, simple, and they perform like a champ. They strip the insulation very cleanly. Easily worth the price and best of all made in the USA. I'll do an update after extended use.

Needed to strip some short wires inside the box so bought these for a crazy 10 bucks .Amazed at the ease of use these have . Size and spring handle is great for one handed use. I like the small size and it feels like holding a high quality tool that's not too light and not too heavy. It works perfectly for me easily stripping and cutting 16-22 Awg stranded wires. The spring and locking mechanism were a must have for me and I'm pleased that it's made in the USA.
