I was really surprised at how easily it was to assemble this dresser. It does take 2 people and about 30 minutes. I highly recommend attaching the bracket that they provide to the wall just in case someone over fills the drawers with heavier objects. The bottom of the drawers are not super-strong, however, It will hold plenty of clothes. The drawers might not hold toys that are heavy. So I needed to upgrade my furniture and i had bought a very short tv stand, and so i found this dresser as it fit the dimensions i needed to get my tv stand off the ground (i have young childern and did not want them to have access to any of the electronics) this dresser did the job. However putting this piece of furniture together was very frustrating. I bought a bed from this dame company, the bed had a qr code you can scan and it would show you digital instructions on how to put it together, this dresser did NOT have those instructions. It took me wuite a bit of time to out this together (over 2 hours by myself) and when it came time to put the dressers in, the drawers are very specific to what side you put them in. It was frustrating for me because i thought i messed up on the alignment of the drawer rails. I might also add the drawers have decent space, but dont yank on the drawers because i noticed if there is too much pressure the drawers will come off the rails. I dont have a power drill so i had to use a screw driver and this tore up my hands with all the twisting and pressure i had to apply while using the screw driver. I will also add that the box came in is VERY HEAVY! You need two people or you have to take the box apart outside if you want to get the pieces in. I had no breakage no scrapes, there is factory wood smell but after a day it goes away. Im content with the purchase and this dresser serves its purpose. ... show more

A piece came broken at the bottom but I used black tape and it's just fine. You can't even notice it unless you look for it. For a kids room this is a good piece. I wouldn't purchase for an adult room unless needed. I changed out the knobs with some dinosaur knobs as well. And I added corner covers. Word of caution...when you are putting it together and you get to the middle piece that has a little hookshape to it that will be used to join the drawers together...make sure you pay close attention to the types of screws that go into it. They are slightly different then the ones that go on the outside panels for the cam locks to secure in place. Make sure you also pay attention when putting the drawers together. The slide out parts are labeled for different sides of the drawer If you put a drawer in and it doesn't close all the way it belongs on the other side...don't panic like I did LOL One person can put it together but two would be idea for assistance with putting on the side panels. ... show more

We got this dresser because we needed a new one after moving our old one several times. The size is good, and the appearance overall is decent. If you are an OCD person, the drawers don't exactly sit perfectly flush, but it isn't too terrible. The box is just as heavy as everyone describes. One of the reviews said it "isn't compressed sawdust," or something to that effect, so we bought it thinking it may be closer to actual wood. No, it wasn't. It is indeed particle board. This one is not perhaps as nice as our old dresser was when new, but it isn't bad either. It's decent and the less beat up look (that our old dresser had) makes our bedroom look better. Overall more or less pleased with the product. 4 instead of 5 stars because the front of the drawers are a tiny bit warped keeping some of them from being perfectly flus, (but it's minor), and it isn't mind-blowingly superior quality. Given what actual wood furniture costs these days, it nets out to a relatively decent purchase. ... show more

It will be a lovely piece of furniture. Relatively easy to put together. Needs two people. Relatively sturdy, exactly as described. However, the package was missing connector pieces for the front molding, and for one drawer. We hope to receive them quickly.

It was delivered as pictured in the first photo. It was SUPER heavy when delivered so having a strong husband helps. One piece was broken but South Shore sent a new one within 3 days and we put it together that night. I love assembling furniture so I didn’t think it was difficult, but if you need detailed directions, this would not be for you— it just used pictures. We bought knobs from Amazon and replaced the silver ones it came with. Some reviews say the drawers don’t fit properly. Every drawer has a specific spot it goes. If you don’t find the right one, it won’t line up right. We bought this as a temporary dresser for our nursery and we are satisfied with the value we received! ... show more

Instructions are very easy to follow. No Missing hardware but no spare parts either so don’t loose anything! Boards particules so I don’t expect it to be very sturdy and last long. It’s still very descent for the price.
