Assembly was fairly easy and straight forward. Very sturdy and good quality for a self assembled dresser. No missing parts. The top drawers are the same size as the bottom two. Storage Capacity: 1 drawer holds my 5 pairs of leggings and 3 pairs of jeans with room for another 2-3 jeans and maybe 2-3 pairs of leggings. The only thing that was odd was the drawers have to be on the correct side or they look like they don’t fit or it looks like it was assembled incorrectly. I had originally sold the night stands that match when we moved but I couldn’t find anything I liked more so we got it again! Would highly recommend this to anyone.     • Love this gray furniture!

Love this furniture. I put both the 6 drawer dresser and two nightstands together by myself (I am a 60 year old lady with arthritis pretty much everywhere). It would have been easier with two people (which the instructions recommend) but it just took me a little longer to do alone. It helps a lot if you understand how to use a cam lock (I think this company calls them Kwik Kams or something). Once you get the hang of using those, these become very easy to assemble and incredibly sturdy furniture. But these are NOT top of the line hardwood furniture, it is laminated pressboard. For the money they are pretty amazing. Still, if you think these are flimsy you probably did not get the cam locks working correctly. I saw other reviews where people had problems with the handles not tightening. On some of the handles, the little channel for the screws to go into are too short therefore making the screws too long. You can either shorten the screws with one of those little screw shorteners or more simply, get a little box of flat washers for about 2 bucks and put a washer or two on the screw and then tighten them down and they will now tighten all the way. Out of about 12 handles I had to put washers on 10 of them. Nobody would ever know they are there. I am very happy with this furniture and it goes with my faux leather white headboard very nicely. The only thing to mention might be that depending on what other colors you have in your room or what color your carpet is, the grey color might have a slightly green tint. ... show more

I bought this dresser for a spare bedroom and had it assembled. The assembler did an outstanding job and had it put together in less than two hours. After delivery and prior to assembly, I examined all the pieces and found a nickel-sized chip right in the middle on the wall-facing side of the top piece. Needless to say, I was not happy. Hence the one-star deduction above. Fortunately, I was able to closely match the dresser's gray color with some acrylic paint I had. You can barely notice it now. So I'll recommend the product, but watch out for dings and chips! And it's very heavy so we put some felt pads on the bottom areas where it makes contact with the floor. ... show more

I inspected the item on unpacking and no chips. Started putting together and I chipped it in 2 areas (just small chips) because I was maybe too rough on it? I will touch up with some gray paint. Next time I need to tape the corners and do all the work on a rug. As others have stated it did take a long time to put together but instructions were clear, just need to thoroughly read them and lay all the parts out. Once together, the piece is very sturdy and heavy and the drawers glide very smoothly. I'm wondering if those who claim it's not study didn't tighten the bolts enough or nail the back onto it like your supposed too? Once all put together it really does look nice and is very functional. I also brought the chest of drawers and 2 nightstands that match this dresser. I really have no reason not to give this product 5 stars. Any damage was my own fault and yes, assembly took a long time and wasn't fun but that was not due to poor instructions - that's the case with all furniture you have to assemble yourself - comes with the territory. Bonus - they do provide extra parts just-in-case. Also, if you call South Shore they will send you replacement parts for any that were damaged free of charge. Based on my experience I would recommend this furniture. However you need to be aware that if for any reason you want to return it, Amazon will require you to take it all apart again and package it up. ... show more

    • Wrong pieces/broken pieces/not sturdy

Miserable experience getting all the pieces to put the furniture together. Shipments kept coming in with broken pieces, wrong replacement pieces, etc. it was awful. It took two months just to get everything to put together. Finally got all the pieces and it took over 6 hours to get the thing put together (not totally unexpected since it’s a large piece). Some of the drawers weren’t cut right with the right holes lined up for the divets or whatever, so I just had a friend drill a few holes because I was tapped out on my patience for getting the correct pieces. Finally got the thing out together in a working fashion and it does the bare minimum that I need (house my clothes). Fast forward to actual use and it’s immediately broken. You can’t put more than like 4-5 T-shirts in the drawers or else the bottom will fall out. It’s insane. Please, I beg you, save your hard earned money and skip this furniture and this company. ... show more

Ok where to begin UPS (yoU People Suck) delivered my item and of course just like numerous consumers before me there was damage, but I need the dresser and did not want to go through the trouble of sending it back, because I have a life on the third day I completed construction of this dresser and I have to say it's absolutely gorgeous you just have to look past the damaged areas, which luckily for me most of the damaged parts are behind the scenes with only 2 minor superficial chips in the front. If I had to purchase again I most definitely would, but the chosen carrier UPS would be my reason for declining to buy again, this box that came had cardboard Cushing in it that was about 3in thick, why was mine and everyone else's dresser damaged. I'm pissed that Amazon won't opt to either use a different delivery service or allow us the consumer to have a say in who we want to deliver our items. This is ridiculous!!! But I love my dresser and I'll drop a few pics of my struggle. ... show more
