Assembly wasn’t too hard. I put one board in the wrong way, and had to take it all apart and reassemble. I broke one of the cam connectors and had to go to Home Depot to replace it to finish assembling the drawers. Not the same size so I had to make the hole bigger—but it worked. It’s a nice looking piece of furniture and sturdy enough to withstand my teen slamming the drawers.

It's an inexpensive piece of furniture, let's not kid ourselves. With that being said for the price, this is a decent piece of furniture. I went the extra step and used wood glue while assembling this and it's paid off with increased rigidity. The directions are easy to read and understand, the pictures are clear and the fasteners are drawn to scale if you have difficulty. It will take approximately an hour if you're mechanically inclined but if you're not you can expect two hours or more. Update 7/29/21 I have purchased another one of these recently, the first one I bought years ago is still holding up just fine after moving 3 different times. Obviously it's not the strongest furniture out there but if you're not banging it around or slamming the drawers shut it will last.

If you want a summary go to the bottom of the review. We got our package rather quick. The package is heavy but the furniture isn't as heavy. The side panels came damaged. Probably from the delivery man just dropping it. We felt that the protective packaging could've been better as well. So, we contacted customer service. Customer service was great. We sent the company a message with photos of the chips and damage by email and a few days later they sent us a message saying the replacement parts will arrive a few days later and it did; no questions asked. You can also call or have a love chat with the customer service reps if you want during service hours. My main complaint: The build of the parts could and should be better. It seems like the furniture can damage easily. However, they can come with better parts which would make the furniture pretty good. I know the quality can be better because the replacement parts they sent are way better than the parts that came with the furniture. They are of better quality. Why couldn't they come with these parts in the first place? The replacement parts probably came from a different place but if they came from the same place, why not just ship with the better parts? Also the protective packaging of the replacement parts is better,too. It was fun to build in my opinion. The drawers were a bit more time consuming. The instructions were pretty clear. In the end it came out sturdy. It could be moreso but I don't mind it the color isn't as dark as I expected; it's more of a grey. The package is heavy, the assembled furniture not as much. The furniture is decent. The assembly instructions are easy to follow. The customer service is great 5/5 but the furniture is a 4/5 at best and could definitely be a 5/5 if if the original parts were the same quality as the replacement parts.

I am very disappointed with this dresser. While it's beautiful and exactly the color I was looking for, after carefully assembling this dresser over the course of three or so hours, it was finally ready to go...As soon as I put a few t-shirts in the top drawer, the entire thing fell apart. The drawers fells off their hinges one after the other, like dominoes. The left side unhooked from the frame by an inch or so. I was stunned. It was like something you'd see in a sitcom. I would have laughed except that I was so disappointed that this beautiful dresser was, in reality, a piece of junk. I'm checking the refund policy now, but it looks as if I can't return it if I've opened it. If anyone knows how to return it, I'd appreciate some advice.

This took me just under 2 hours to put together and wiped down. USE LIQUID NAIL while assembling each screw should get a dab and each seam, all these bad reviews about how it’s not good or it’s to flimsy…It’s 200 bucks and is shipped in a box, you get what you get. Go to Home Depot, buy some construction adhesive or liquid nail and use it up. All this complaining about how it was hard to assemble, half of the bad reviews are from people who cant tie their own shoes smh…

I've put together a lot of furniture, and this dresser was unnecessarily difficult. The small parts like screws and pegs, which look very similar, were not labeled and assorted parts were thrown into the same bag, which made the assembly take a lot longer than it needed to be. Also, a corner from one of the wood panels was broken off and I had to glue back on. The dresser looks nice and is sturdy when assembled.
