Does not fit for larger ears

I am going to give these a good review, but they are not for me. Why are they not for me? The ear size. my ears are about 3.5 inches tall. The inside of the ear muff is about 2.8 inches, while my ears are about 3.15 inches. So while the tip of my ear will fit it, the bottom, the tragus does not. i can fold it under to fit it, but that is not comfortable. So I cannot talk to long term for others. The muffs are foam and the hard part of the inner speaker and microphones are about about 3/8" inch from where you ear might fit into it. Take this with a grain of salt, because you ear might hit it and make it uncomfortable. Since I have tried the Bose and the Sony and some others, they all have these problems, so more than others. The Sony's have much less space, i feel. So before ordering these, you might check your ear size. The pads are about 2 inches, or slightly less, wide at the middle of the ear. I decide to try and use these with a loud fan. The loudest fan i know of in my house is in the bathroom. It sounds like a freight train. I went in there and shut the door and turned on the fan. When i turned on the ANC it turned into a whisper. However, it was still there. I flushed the toliet and could not hear the flush. I turned on the water faucet and could not hear the water running. Maybe the fan noise might have been from not having a great seal on the ears. Next i tried it my automobile, which is very loud. Older car which someone has stolen the catalytic converter from, so it rumbles. No air conditioner, so I have to roll down the windows. I applied the ANC, and could not hear anything. When driving no wind noise. I turned on the air blower, which is loud, could not hear it. Maybe this might work on an airplane? When i turned on any music, no background sound at all. When i tried it with transparency, I noticed that the sounds were actually amplied a bit. Conversed with my wife in the noisy environment, and her voice was louder than anything else. A feature? But you can hear everything, and are more aware of noises. I turned back on ANC and tried music again. It was wonderful.. Full featured, and no noisy background. The voices were terrrific on music, so I turned to podcasts. Wow. Makes them outstanding and easy to listen to and really understand what they are say. The bluetooth hooked easliy on my android samsung ultra 23 and never lost contact. Driving everywhere, going up and down stairs, listening to my cell from a couple or rooms away, no problem. However, they would not connect to my 52" ONN tv. no luck. could not even find how to hook it to this. Nor my computer. The bluetooth found the headsets, connected, but it would not produce any sound. I am using linux mint, so the codes might exist for this. Don't know, and did not want to try further. It did connect to my ONN streaming device with no problems and sounded great. I did not try the direct usage of them with a cable. I do recommend this for the price, but I must return them. They are very good headphones. Just a shade under the Sonys or the Bose. But like most manufacturers, they do not really say what size ear these are meant for. If you are average, great. Probably fits well. But if you are larger like me, 6'3" with larger ears, probably not. I return them with reluctance, because they are nice. At this price they are a great buy, unless you want to spend at least twice or three times as much. But will not solve the ear size issue. I do not understand why the manufacturers will not make larger pads or the individuals. It would be easy. Maybe some third party could do it and oversize them. Impressed and Happy

I use these daily. They replaced two other headsets. My Bose NC700s which are just older and the speaker is going out and my Sony MX4s which I mysteriously lost (I know the gremlins took them). I wanted either the Bose Ultra Gen 2s or Sony MX6s, but I have other places to put $400+. So here's my thoughts: Pros: * Light weight. Not the lightest but not heavy in the head at all. * Comfortable. Padding on the ears is thick and soft. Padding on the head band is also. * Battery Life is tremendous! I use them all day every day for work and play and can go 2-3 days without charging, but I usually don't. If I have to I can though and that's awesome. * Sound quality is nice and even. You can personalize an equalizer setting or use their presets for the sound you like. Bass hits heavy, mids shine through the the trebles are spaced well in the sound spectrum to not be piercing or overbearing. * Build quality is excellent. They feel just as good as the high quality Bose and Sony head sets in the hand. Not flimsy. The ears turn and fold to make it smaller and both those joints are solid, move smooth and remain quiet and fluid. * I love the app. I mean love it. SoundCore's app is soooo much better than both the Bose and Sony apps. Easy to use, easy to find what you want and to change settings. It has equalizers, a way to customize the sound to your hearing levels through a test and other features. It's quick and everything is easy understand and reach. * Multi-Device connection is a breeze once you put it on automatic. The only thing I would change is to place that setting in a different area of the app. Beyond that it's seamless and connecting the Bluetooth to a device is quick and painless. LDAC for the win baby. * Noise cancelling is a win. Not as good as the Bose Ultras or Sony's MX6s or MX4s, BUT that may not be a bad thing. It eliminates a lot of the sound and especially the lower level rumbling frequencies and most of the kids and highs, but not to the point you can't hear anything. I was basically deaf with my NC700s and MX4s and these allow me to block out the wolrld but not to a detriment. * Appearance. They look almost just like all the high cost high quality headsets out there and I like that. * Bonus Feature is how the video or music you are playing stops and starts when you remove and put the headsets back on. This feature is activated in the app. CONS 😢: * No easy touch controls on the ears for answering or hanging up calls, stopping, skipping or forwarding songs or videos or changing the volume with a slide. I find myself double tapping the right headset to answer or hang up a call all the time and it doesn't. Add this on an "Ultra" model and charge another $20-30 dollars and I'm there baby. Look these things are under $130 so I'm not complaining. I'm simply yearing 😂. * Ear cups are not very breathable. This leads to my ears overheating when on a walk in warmer weather or simply after a few hours of wear. * Ok this is a bit greedy but I bought these for some ultra bass that felt like surround sound like the SoundCore Life Q30s I bought my wife. I was a bit disappointed at first hearing, but the overall sound quality is just fine. I'm just super bass greedy. Summary: If you can't or don't want to pay tons of money for a headset with an excellent build, very good sound quality, high level noise cancelling for travel or calls, super long battery and easy to use app with a lot of features get these headsets. ... show more

Excellent active noise cancellation. Probably the best that I’ve tried in this price range. Compared to Beats Solo (more expensive and difference was not noticeable to me) and Sony WH-CH720N. Great, crisp noise when listening to music. I use these for work so lots of meetings. I had mic issues with the Sony option. Soundcore mics worked much better, people could hear me clearly. Audiobooks and music sound great on it as well. A few things that soundcore should eventually correct, maybe with the next model. Mic doesn’t work if you have the headphones R/L mixed up. Second it’s really hard to tell which side is left or right in the dark. Lately the battery life doesn’t feel as long as advertised. ... show more

I just received the new Soundcore Space 2 on launch day and I’m already impressed. Here are a few things I’ve noticed right out of the box: • The Launch Bonus: Just a heads up for everyone—I purchased these during the launch window and they came with a FREE hardshell travel case (the grey textured one in my photos). To be clear, the retail box normally includes a black soft carry pouch, so getting the hard case as an extra gift was a fantastic value. It feels very sturdy and fits the headphones perfectly. • Weight & Comfort: These are incredibly lightweight (261g). I’ve been wearing them while setting up and they feel like they’re barely there. The memory foam is soft and doesn’t feel like it’s clamping too hard on my head. • Setup & Firmware: As soon as I paired them with my iPad and opened the Soundcore app, a firmware update popped up. It took about 5–10 minutes to install, but it really seemed to stabilize the connection. • Noise Cancellation (ANC 3.0): The Adaptive ANC is very solid. It easily handles the low hum of my apartment. For sharper sounds like the TV, I found that switching to "Manual Mode - Level 5" in the app works best to really seal out the world. • Battery for Days: The box confirms 70 hours of battery (50 with ANC), which is class-leading for this price. Pro-Tip: If you’re using these for gaming or movies, make sure to enable the "Dual Device Connection" in the settings. I have mine hooked up to my iPad and my laptop simultaneously and the switching is seamless. Overall, for $129, getting these headphones plus the bonus hardshell case is a steal. Excellent headphones for the price

I picked these up mainly for the gym, and they've been great. They stay on securely while I'm working out, sound really good, and the active noise cancellation does an impressive job of blocking out everything going on around me. For the price, I don't think you can ask for much more. They've been comfortable to wear, the battery lasts a long time, and they've exceeded my expectations. I'd definitely recommend them if you're looking for a solid pair of over-ear Bluetooth headphones without spending a fortune. ... show more

Better than Sony CH720N

These things are amazing, and definitely an upgrade over the Sony CH720N (I believe that's the model number; the entry level ones). The reason I need these kind of headphones is because I'm an extremely light sleeper. So at night I fall asleep with, and sleep with, these kind of headphones. I do also use them while mowing (riding tractor and large property) as well as weed whacking. These things get very, very loud. And they do not distort while doing so. The bass is very powerful but not droning or painful. The ANC is the best I have ever experienced - blocking things the Sony's would let through. The build quality, cushions, and fitment for those of us with Doppler's on the sides of our head is excellent. The mids and highs also sound great - with the Sony having a slight edge here. The app has a ton of cool features, I don't use all of them but the main one, HearID, is phenomenal!!! You go to a room where it's dead quiet and essentially do a hearing test like when we were in school and they'd have you raise your hand when you heard the noise. Afterwards, they play a track and you choose which one sounds better, left or right, about 5-10 times in a row. When it's done... it has made your personal equalizer and I couldn't have done it any better if I tried. The default ones all sounded worse than the Sony's until I dialed that in. All rounder for gym use!!!

Headphones are pretty awesome for price range. Sounds great out of the box but able to tweak with app. NC is decent. Using for gym and it does the job perfectly. Decent bass not overwhelming. I use my IEM with my fiio btr17 for everyday. This headphones paired with FIIO BTR17 (wired) is on another level and hits different with dac/amp.. nearing sony M4-M5 sound. Pretty comfortable for gym use. Has enough tension to keep it on your head and cups are soft but will hold moisture. I have not use the battery to check rated time or specs. Hope this review helps.. $130 is a great price for what your getting.. it’s an all rounder in my opinion. Now i have different taste when comes to audio. I have a pair of focal clear mg open back , sony ult , sony m4. For my home I have a set of martin logan motion xt f200 / xt c100 / xt b100 with RSL 12 subs. Car audio also but thats too much to list. I stated what i currently have so you have an understand on my im basing my opinion on when it comes to sound. Great buy for the price. In pretty sure a pro version will come out in the future but till then im satisfied with it ... show more
