I’ve been testing the Soundcore P31i for a while now, and if you’re looking for a set of everyday earbuds that offer premium-adjacent features without the "premium" price tag, these are genuinely hard to beat. Audio Quality: The sound is crisp, balanced, and impressively detailed for this price point. With Hi-Res Audio support and LDAC, you get a depth of sound that you usually don’t find in the sub-$50 category. The bass is punchy without being muddy, and the Anka Soundcore app’s EQ settings allow you to tweak the sound profile exactly to your liking, which I prefer to standard settings. Adaptive Noise Cancelling (ANC): The ANC is surprisingly capable. It does a great job of quietening consistent low-frequency noises like traffic, airplane hums or people, which is very useful in a busy office or on a commute. All-Day Battery: The 10-hour battery life per charge (up to 50 hours with the case) is fantastic. You can practically go a whole week of moderate use without touching a charging cable. Comfort & Fit: They are lightweight and ergonomically designed. I have small ear ways, and I use the 2nd bud cushions to fit the best.     • Excellent sound quality at a price/performance that can't be beat

Let me start by saying I've used a large number of different headphones, of different styles including over the ear, on ear and ear buds, from Bose, Beats, Sony, Apple and a number of lesser known brands. This review is being made after only having this set a few days, so it is an initial opinion. In general I would say that the ANC of the more expensive brands is a bit better than the Soundcore, but to my ears not that much better. There are 4 sets of ear tips. I have rather small ear canals so I use the XS set. These fit better than many of the other ear tips from the other ear buds that only have 3 and stop at S. These have been comfortable and stay in place. I am currently using the out of box equalizer settings. I find the sound to be quite good even without making adjustments. Sound is very clear and not muddy. I haven't tried pumping up the bass, so I have no observations/recommendations there. The fact that you get a nice app to make adjustments if you so choose is a real plus. I felt the included instruction booklet could have been better. I would suggest downloading the more detailed information files which provide more explanations. I decided to try these after both my sets of expensive Apple AirPods Pro (both Pro 1 - ANC and Pro 2 - right bud) failed. The cost to repair the Apples was more expensive than this set. I rated this 5-star, not as much for the absolute quality (which is still quite good), but rather more from the standpoint that these are an exceptional value for the money. ... show more

I really do like these - they fit very well and you get 4 sizes of hearpieces in the box so quite a bit of adjustability. They are comfortable and light so I hardly know they are there. ANC is amazing and the battery life so far is fantastic. Almost lasts an entire day at work with the ANC on an off throughout the day. Love the fact that I can connect it to my phone and my laptop at the same time - makes work so much eaiser when I have to view/approve video content. Great sound as well, very impressed. Responsive microphone quality with phone calls, no issues with people hearing me or blocking out noise. I'm really interested in how these will work running. ... show more

    • Brilliant earphones with one caveat

I upgraded to the P31i from the P30i and the difference is dramatic in every respect. More refined sound quality, a giant leap in Noise Cancellation, ergonomics of tapping have improved significantly, connection speed...basically in every respect a vast improvement. Definitely worth the upgrade, especially for the incredibly cheap price they are being offered for. I give them 4 stars though for one reason: The darned case. It's horrible. Soundcore must have put together a design group with the challenge to create the worst possible case for these otherwise brilliant earphones. The surface is slippery like a small bar of wet soap. The case is jet black and top and bottom are exactly the same other than a microscopic and virtually invisible Soundcore logo on top. The catch to open it is also very small and uncomfortable so the soap case can slip out of your hands. I had to paint a big white dot on the top left hand corner to orient myself and use extreme caution every time I open the case. A shame for what are otherwise such brilliant earphones. ... show more
