I needed to replace my broken set of Anker Soundcore headphone that I sadly steeped on. The Soundcore has held up well a few years of nightly use but can't take a full force of a right foot in a dark room from 250 pound man ( what could? ) I wanted to replace with another Soundcore set as I liked my first pair so well. These Q30's area a great value in active noise cancelling headphones. I use these at night with my Amazon Kindle Fire tablet and many times fall asleep and these play all night so these are for the most part comfortable. I find the noise cancelling function works great for background noise, especially with white noise like from a loud window AC, an airplane or road noise from a car/ RV. The battery life is FANTASTIC! I use these headphones 8 hours a night and only need to charge them every few days but I never let them get below medium so I may could get a full week of every day use if I pushed it. I have owned my last set a few years and never noticed any battery issues so whatever battery is in these headphone truly last and last! I am an audiophile and a pro sound tech so I know headphones however, I did not buy these headphone to give me "The Best" or fantastic sound for listening to music as thats not how I use these. I use these headphones at night to watch Sling TV on my tablet or youtube at night but my reason for buying the Q30 is I want the best, natural sound without boomy bass for the price paid that feels good on my head if I fall asleep and offer great battery life and will hold up a few years of every night heavy use with great noise cancelling feature as I don't like background noise when I try and sleep. If you move up the Anker line you can find models that offer hi res audio but do your research as the device you are using must also offer that higher res format. Even with me being an audiophile my fire does not offer that and these are used for sound from my tablet and sound very good to my ear and natural for my limited use. so I don't need hi res playback but you may but do your research as not every cell phone etc supports that option. Do note that if you ever damage the ear pads, you can buy replacements on Amazon. These phones truly hold up well. In this world of $300-$500 headphones Im happy I can find a good set that hold up and I truly love for much, mush less.. These may not be a big brand name but are built just as well based on my years of use and being a pro audio person. Yes its plastic but so are many of those mega expensive brands. Give these a try as I think you will like them and the price is the happy spot, I think this is the minimum amount needed to be spend to get a good set of great performing wireless headphones that the battery last for days and days . Long story short, sound is great with added bonus of being tunable to any preference via EQ App, battery life is top notch, ANC is great for the price range. Build quality is all plastic but the good kind and should last a while if you treat it right but the biggest gripe is the latest update for the EQ App which disabled the ability to use EQ settings while using an AUX cable defaulting the sound to muddy undefined mess would recommend to use these exclusively as wireless headphones. Here's a breakdown of my cons, pros and thoughts. Pros- Price & Sound: Looked over and tested them out against my XM4s and if you're on a budget the Q30s, with a bit of tweaking, can often sound BETTER than those more expensive all thanks to the flexibility of the EQ customisation which I absolutely recommend anyone who plans to nab these cans to do. Battery life: The battery life of the Q30s trumps just about every pair of wireless cans I have in my possession. I've tested these cans for 2 weeks with both ANC on and off both at full charge and clocked in: ANC ON: 38-42 Hours ANC OFF: 58-61 Hours ANC: Works great, not the best mind you considering its price range but punches well above it's weight perfect for flights or blocking annoying people. Has 3 different modes too that you can toggle through but I never notice the difference between 2 of them being outdoors and indoors. Transparency is pretty average but does it's job. EQ App: The App is extremely easy to use and enables some really nice flexibility to enhance your listening experience and pushes these headphones far beyond what its price point shows, there are 20+ presets to choose from depending on genre but for me and alot of people, Piano sounds the clearest and from there you can tweak the preset and save it in one of many spare slots on top of this, whichever preset you used last it will save unto the headphones so even without your phone or app, the moment you connect with a device via Bluetooth, the Q30s will play audio with the custom preset. Neutral- Build: All plastic with a metal headband, not bad, but not great either. The plastic is thick and sturdy not the cheap creaky type so thats pretty good, ears fold in nicely and the fit is nice and snug good for medium and small sized head. Comfort: Pretty comfy plenty of space for ears in the cups you wont feel much pushing in due to the way the internals are actually tilted a bit, though, clamp force is kinda weak and they can slip off easy. Cons- EQ App: Strange how this is also a con, well, eveything works well WIRELESSLY until you connect using an AUX cable, you lose all access to the app and your presets and the headphones default to a muffled mess, it's not exactly terrible but the drop down going from sounding like 300 buckaroos to hot farts isnt exactly desirable, all this because of an intentional update from the company itself. Wired mode: Doesn't suck as bad as people make it out to be BUT when comparing wireless mode to Aux mode...? Yeah its a big drop, but you'll get use to it, until you jump back to wireless mode. Summary: Great headphones, seriously, the only real downside is the company's stupid decision to purposefully disable a feature a lot of people loved. Otherwise the Q30s are a strong pair of budget BT ANC headphones priced real nicely, buying these will gurantee satisfaction for a majority of listeners. ... show more

Overall, these headphones were a great deal for the price! Very comfortable, long battery life, and easy to use/pair with phone. Sound quality was ok, and noise cancellation was ok but not complete noise cancellation.
