  • Got a Defective Product - Replaced and now Perfect!
Color: Black Size: standard Style: Classic Edition
I ordered these earphones from Amazon, and out of the box, they were great. Sound quality is decent, although typical Bluetooth compression comes through, but the EQ in the app gives quite a bit of flexibility. The Signature sound is too bass-heavy, to the point of almost being dull, but with play on the mid frequencies, sound can be much more balanced. With the option to create custom EQ profiles, and many presets within the app, sound quality is generally excellent. Although earphones should sound good out of the box, the ability to tweak and refine sound is equally important. Battery life is excellent - these could go most of a day out of the case, easy, and if you simply put them back in the case when you take a break, they could last several days in a row. Charging the case is easy and the buds charge quick. I have never even see the battery of the headphones (visible in the app) dip below full, even with long podcast sessions. With the case, these earbuds can go on for a very long time. Noise cancellation is good. It handles the dull roar of a bus or the subway well, although it cannot beyond a certain threshold (45 dB, says the box). In real life, were a bus to pass by, it sounds like a bus passing by you, but dampened - as if you're listening with cotton balls in your ears. While this doesn't give anything near the insulation that an over-ear pair of headphones (eg. Bose QuietComfort) would, it's perfectly acceptable. Walking along the street and listening to a podcast does become easier. Transparency mode is helpful for a quick conversation or to dial into your surroundings a bit; it intereferes with what you're listening to and does sound unnatural (as if the sound is coming to you through a mic, which it is). 'Normal' is great if you're at home or in indoor spaces - noise cancellation isn't necessary at that point, but not much filters in anyway. Now for the important bit. I received the earphones and they worked well for a couple days. Then, one afternoon, the right earbud wasn't pairing. I knew that it had charge because it had worked until a few minutes before, but this time when I took them out of the case, the right earbud wouldn't play sound and would show as disconnected on the app. I charged the case and repaired the buds, but no change. Then, after I left the earbuds alone a couple of hours, the right bud magically started working again. This seemed to happen at random intervals, and there was another period where the right bud conked off (see picture). I wrote to Anker's famously responsive customer support. They asked me to do all the usual things (turn off and on, re-pair, check LED light, etc) - all of which I had already mentioned wasn't the problem. The right earbud did work again for some time, and then again refused to pair. So it seems like the piece I received was defective, but not completely - there was clearly some issue with the right earbud's pairing mechanism. When it worked, it worked beautifully, but I can't function with one earbud for some important calls and work-related tasks. As of this date (21 Nov), I have received a replacement pair of earbuds after returning the previous defective pair to Anker. They were excellent about it. Minus a little sluggishness in response time, they sent me a shipping label, I sent the a photo of it, and they shipped out the replacement. The replacement works perfectly. The customer service has proved to be just as good as everyone says, and I can say for sure that Anker makes excellent products AND stands by them. Go for it. ... show more

  • Great Value! I’m converted from AirPods!
Color: Oat white Size: standard Style: Classic Edition
I lost my AirPods, and refused to buy cheaper options because I was worried about wasting my money and really needed the noise cancellation. I finally gave these a chance, and DO NOT REGRET IT! These are amazing! Longgggg charge, I barely have to charge these! Comfortable, and don’t pop out constantly. The noise cancellation is really good! You can bring it in and out of transparent mode, easy to install and set up. They even auto connect to my phone, computer, and iPad. It also seamlessly transitions between the audio between my devices!!!! My AirPods always had issues with this. They are a little uncomfortable to sleep in, if you want to sleep with them I would look into their smaller options. But they do work great at droning out snoring at night (wink, wink! Haha. But they will have a low battery if you listen to music 8-10 hours overnight). This is definitely a great more affordable option for earbuds. I was even able to let me fiancé borrow them for the gym, while I have an iPhone and he an android. He was able to easily install the app and connect. The only con I have is to connect a device you have to open the case, with two buds in, and press the button at the bottom. It’s just awkward, but not a dealbreaker. Update: No “Hey Siri” on these… sometimes I want to made a hand free call and would use Siri. But these aren’t compatible and have issues with understanding what I’m saying. ... show more

  • Great quality and amazing value but not perfect
Color: Black Size: standard Style: Classic Edition
These headphones are an amazing especially for the price, I got them for 34.99 usd on black Friday and I'd say it would be hard to find a better value. The Good: -Excellent sound quality -They get pretty loud (even louder then I care to listen) -the app is easy to use and the fact it's included at this price point is crazy -very cheap -comfortable (usually where them for about 1.5-2hrs at the gym and I have 0 complaints on comfort plus they stay in pretty well) -adjustable EQ -battery life seems excellent -smaller then I anticipated The Bad: - the noise cancelation isn't that great my last pair of Earbuds (Tozo nc9) had significantly better noise cancelation so if that's your main reason for looking at these I would go look at those instead they're a similar price point but the sound quality of those are marginally worse and there's not app - physical buttons 🤮 I'm just saying physical buttons do not belong on Earbuds, give me a touch sensor like on the tozo nc9 -transparency mode sounds pretty digitalized and it's still difficult to hear people if they're more then like 5' from you Over all I'd recommend these especially if you can wait for a sale, they seem to be pretty great Earbuds for the value and despite my gripes comparing them to my previous pair of Earbuds I do think for me the trade offs are worth keeping these over returning them to rebuy the tozo nc9 I had before but it's a close call between the 2 ... show more
