  • It works with a TCL R646.
So, I saw a review that said this doesn't work with the TCL 6 Series. I can confirm that it actually does work with a 55R646. It just requires some careful positioning of the TV mount brackets. How I got my soundbar on there is that you keep the joint touching the protruding back. You then move the TV mount bracket left or right while tilting the TV mount bracket up slightly until a hole matches with the bottom mounting screw holes on the TV. Since the bars are short, you have to hope that you can find some kind of spacing that'll work for you. You only need to attach to one hole with the bottom ones being the easiest. I needed a little more distance for my bar since the keyhole mounts are kind of far. Another thing to keep in mind which isn't mentioned in the manual is that you can use extension arms (the L-shaped pieces) as extenders if you're mounting to the back of the soundbar instead of to the bottom. The instruction manual shows you how to attach the extension arms to the bracket. Just flip the extension arms so the longer piece is attaching to the end of the bracket instead of the shorter piece. A picture of what I landed on is included to explain. This gives you a little more distance but slightly adds to the overall weight. So, after some fighting, I eventually got it on. It is sagging a little bit, but I will find some way to handle that by using something to attach the top of the soundbar to the TV's bottom. The reason it's sagging is because my bar is over 15 lbs, but I thought it would work since the information mentions both 15 lbs and 22 lbs. I guess 15 lbs is the real limit. Some suggestions for Mounting Dream if they want to improve this kit would be: - Make both brackets longer. I toyed with the idea of mounting the bar to the top of the TV, but the brackets aren't long enough to do that with this particular TV. - Make the joint smaller and include one or two more screw holes above it. The whole reason I had to angle the TV mount brackets like that is because the joint blocks the bottom mounting screwholes on this TV when the TV mount bracket is vertical. - Make sure the maximum weight is consistent throughout all informational material. The product page states 15 lbs but the comparison at the bottom states 22 lbs. Since this is the only product of its kind, I decided to try it anyway despite my bar being 18 lbs. Luckily, it worked, but it is sagging a little bit. So, 4 stars is my rating. Good, but has slight issues depending on the TV and soundbar. ... show more

  • It’s really versatile
Works great I have different tv’s and sound bars and everything bolted right up was really easy and I was able to mount a sound bar on the bottom of one and on top of the other without any problems would definitely buy again

  • Fits Sonos Playbar and LG 55" with some minor installation adjustments
Despite the description (and Q&A) saying it fits Sonos Playbar you'll read multiple reviews saying otherwise. I decided to give it a shot anyway as there are only two other options for TV's with protruded bottom and this one seems to be the more popular one. Let me start by saying that I did make it work, but just barely, it's a VERY tight fit. The long bar has to be put in an angle so the short bar can actually reach the speaker (see picture) - I don't see this working on a bigger TV to be honest, the short bars are just too short. The Playbar's mounting 'ears' make it pretty tricky to tighten the bar - this isn't the mount's fault, but should be noted. Overall the mount is well made, and with a bit of outside the box thinking it did end up working just fine. Plenty of extra hardware is included and I didn't need anything extra. Docking one star for the fact that while I was able to make it work, it shouldn't be labeled as "compatible" with the Sonos Playbar - there is no way to install it "properly / per the instructions". ... show more

  • Simple system, but no instructions :-(
The packaged arrived as scheduled and in a well-packed box. However, there wasn’t in universal instructions so set up was not quick. Trial and error was my experience so it took me 25 minutes.

  • It Works As It Should and Sturdy
Sturdy and versatile with the couple different lengths and must if your TV has speakers at the bottom that stick out the back as mine did. Only complaint was the hardware didn't have a screw size to fit Roku Soundbar Pro so I had. Dto go to the garage and dig around. Holds the soundbar excellently. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Pretty good; lots of adjustability but not quite perfect
The Mounting Dream MD5421 has more adjustability and is less expensive than the similar MD4520, so I bought the MD5421 to mount my sound bar above my TV. I first bolted the long and short extension plates together (because the mounting holes in the back of the sound bar are so far apart), then attached the bolted extension plates to each bracket...it's kind of a big "Y" pattern. I also reversed the order of the protrusion spacers to properly set the depth of the sound bar relative to the front of the TV. The included hardware allows for varied applications, so that's great, although it's a little cheap. One of the M6 wingnuts wasn't properly threaded and unusable, so I had to use a different M6 nut (also included) to make things work. Also, even when everything is tightened, there's still some flex when pressing a button on the sound bar. All in all, it's good enough and gets the job done. ... show more

  • Good Mount, But More than I Needed
I used this to pair a Visio 36" sound bar to a articulating TV mount I bought from Costco. Despite my best efforts, I could not mount the bars as designed. I ended up only using two straight sections of the provided hardware. Oh well... Maybe I can use the leftovers for another TV sound bar combo. I would have given it five stars since it is quality hardware, but I think more nuts could have been provided to match the supplied bolts. All supplied fasteners were metric. ... show more

  • Good quality
It took some effort to get these to work but I'm rated them 5 stars overall because some of the problem was on me. The directions tell users to take the TV off of any mounts to install them. I'm recovering from knee surgery and have a disc problem so I could not take the tv off of the wall but rather installed these with the TV attached. I had to be flexible in my approach and got it to work because of the flexibility of the product. I rate it well because they gave me everything I needed including various screws and bolts and washers for every configuration I could imagine. I had key holes behind my sound bar and they even had directions for installing with a keyhole. So I would give this a try. I'm sure there are some sound bars/tvs that would present problems but I honestly think there are work arounds to get these to work for you. ... show more
