My son has played violin this year, but we are moving to a district without an orchestra program. He therefore has to switch instruments. I found out that this is the book they use to start students on trumpet so I’m hoping he can get a little bit under his belt before starting band in the fall. The book does a good job showing correct finger placement, and seems to go slow enough to learn notes and technique properly before moving on. I also like the fact it has an online component. We haven’t tried it yet, but I think it will come in handy later in the book. ... show more
