My QC15 is very old and the headband needed replaced. I found lower cost headbands but all looked different from the original. This one was worth a little extra money to get the look, comfort, and quality of new. It is not hard to install and fits perfect if you take your time.

I had already replaced the ear pads for my Bose QC-2s with a set I purchased directly from Bose, and was expecting to be able to buy a replacement headband as well after the rubber on the old one started to degrade, leaving sticky specks of rubber in my hair and on my white sweater. But when I contacted Bose I discovered I couldn't buy a replacement headband from them, and my only option (according to Bose) was to mail the headphones back to them to be reconditioned. I didn't really want to do that. I trusted the reviews I read on Amazon for the SOULWIT Replacement Headband Pad Kit, and they arrived in one day. It took me about 10 minutes to install with the screwdriver provided. The instructions were clear, other than, as another reviewer mentioned, they didn't mention the step about gently snapping apart the upper and lower parts of the replacement headband before installing. But thanks to the other reviewer I knew what to do. The only reason it didn't take me 5 minutes instead of the 10 minutes it did take was that I didn't exactly center the replacement headband before re-attaching the buckles. The metal frame of the headband has little indentations where the receptacles for the screws exactly fit. If the headband is not exactly centered, it will cover those receptacles on one side. When it is exactly centered, the buckles actually grip and compress the end of the headband so that there is no gap between the band and the buckle and it looks really seamless. Between the new Bose ear pads and the Soulwit headband, my headphones look like new. Still the great Bose sound--just used them for three long days in a recording studio--and I hope to get another 15 years of life out of these like-new headphones. Thank you so much, Soulwit, for a quality product!

Excellent replacement for my woreout band. Easy install. My only concern was if I'd accidentally break it when separating the top from the bottom. Maybe include those directions in the instructions. Once I watchef the video I was more confident. Perfect install. Thanks for making my old headphones look new again.

Works great if you have original headband retainer clips. My first review gave this product 1 star because I had aftermarket headband clips on my headphones, which caused this headband to not work. After working with the supplier I ordered replacement clips and the headband replacement fits and looks great. See my photos for the style of clips which will not work with this product.

I have over 40 years electronic technical experience working with my hands. The one star reviews are absolutely correct. The head band was not designed, or poorly designed for the Bose Quiet Comfort 15 head set. It is too long and will not allow the side clips to be put back on with out trimming the material to make them fit. If you do trim the material and it still is not able to be used, you damaged the head band and can no longer return it. You don't want to do that. I worked over three hours and then tried again the next day. For the price paid for this head band, which was twice the price of most of the others offered, it should have been a 10 minute operation at most. Pros: nice material. I studied at the headset with the new headband, without the side clips for a long time. If I didn't know that there were side clips, I would have never missed them. The headset looks good with this headband, even without the side clips. I'll keep it this time. My only option is to keep trying other head bands until I find one that does fit. After over three hours, I"m done. Recommendation: don't buy this for the Bose Quiet Comfort 15 head set. Update: Well now. Anyone out there have any toast to go with the egg on my face? As with another one star review that had the same problems that I did, I learned that I had the wrong end band caps. My end caps came with previous replacement head band. Not the originals. Who keeps the old (original) end caps after you complete the replacement project. I purchased replacement end caps from the same company. A bit pricey for four little pieces of plastic, but I could have saved the extra cost if I keep the ORIGINAL parts. A 10 minute project. Who knew. My bad. Thanks Soulwit. I have a brand new Bose Quietcomfort 15 headset.
