  • Too Good For Coloring
These are better than I could have imagined. I started coloring with with my 6yo. I already had some cheap color pencils and a set of Prismas I use for serious projects... I wanted a lot of colors, pencils that wouldn't deteriorate when sharpened and blendable so they could be layered. Oh, and a case, like my Prismas. Pro: These checked all my initial boxes. Pro: they don't tear up the coloring book paper like cheaper pencils when layered. After use, I had unexpected cons. The colors aren't true. The box is a little too tight. Initially, it was challenging navigating through so many trays. Especially since the butts don't match their leads. For example, cheap Craze Art and Crayola peach are the same color. This peach is reddish and wrong. Maybe it's fruit peach, which is reddish brown. Nude is more like peach in any other set of pencils. I've never done swatches, I generally know what I'm looking for. These colors force you to. The pencils are arranged weird. They aren't in numerical order or by shades going dark to light or vice-versa. For instance, blues are in three different trays. Why? I felt forced to swatch and reorganize them. And, I'll swatch as I color going forward to determine my color scheme. So I can stay out the trays. Also, the bottoms don't correlate with the color of the lead. Like the basic 8 colors don't stand out. Standard yellow, orange, green, red etc don't jump out at you. There isn't one bottom that is true yellow or orange. I reorganized mine. Tray 1: skins, browns through nude with black and white. Tray 2: Red to pinks Tray 3: Green/gray. Tray 4: Green /yellow. Tray 5: purple/ yellow Tray 6: Blues There are soooo many greens. Almost two trays. Which kind of threw everything off. As I use them, I'm sure I'll have to organize them again. I may tap a little paint on the barrels that matches their actual lead. Still, these bad boys are amazing. The colors are vibrant. Several are so similar they look like repeats. I'd guess there are 150 colors. These are so different from my cheap Crayolas, I'm literally teaching myself how to color again. Lol! They are so pigmented, I have to adjust how I apply color. Cheap pencils require a heavier hand. The blending goes in a different order. Light to dark. With these you can blend light on dark. The quality is so high, I'm going to replace them individually with another premium brand. I didn't see this brand in Michaels yesterday. This is a great starter set. After I use them awhile, I should be able to ditch a tray, and make space for multiples of colors I use most. Get a good sharpener too, they deserve it. ... show more

  • I like them
I’m a beginner. I don’t like the stiff, chalky pencils. I like the pigment and smooth glide of this brand. I have had a few to break but can’t think of a wooden pencil that hasn’t broken and required sharpening.

  • Great set of Pencils for reasonable price
I love to color in the Mandela Adult Coloring books, especially when I'm stressed or experiencing anxiety. This set of colored pencils is perfect for what I use them for. A wide variety of colors. It came in a nice storage tin, but it made it difficult to view all the pencils to choose a shade, but I bought a storage case for them which fixed that problem. I've had no issues with the points breaking, not even when I sharpen them to a very sharp point. They also work very well with my blender and burnisher Pencils. Would definitely purchase again ... show more

  • They color so smooth
I do alot of adult coloring and these are my go to pencils. I like how smooth they go down and the blend so nicely. I have bought 3 sets of these pencils. I want to make sure I have back up pencils because I use them all the time.

  • Colored pencils
I liked the price and quantity of coloured pencils. They colour nicely and are heavily pigmented. Some of the colours like peach are very red, the colours that should work well for flesh tones tend to be more orange or yellow and require careful layering with other colours to get natural-looking skin tones. The multiple colours in various shades give you variety but some are so close to the same colour as the other it leaves me disenchanted, but works well for colouring ombre effects with gradual fade into other colors. Over all it's a ton of colors and a good product. ... show more
