I bought these for my 2 year old son. He is now 30 months or 2 1/2 years old. I ordered a toddler size 9. His foot measured 5 1/2” He at the time wore a size 7 or 8 in shoes. However he was in between sizes, seemed to be going through a big growth spurt, & I went off of the recommended sizing. As I wanted to make sure he had enough room to grow into? With his growth spurt and really not knowing. As I bought these last year right before winter. So I really wasn’t sure. However I think with these boots in particular, if you want them to fit. I think it would be safe to just order the size they wear or maybe a 1/2 size up. But no more than that? The toddler size 9 fit him but are big on him. He can still walk in them fine without any problems. They kept his feet super warm! His snow suit helped the most to keep them on his feet. However since they were big they did come off from time to time. Only if he was in deep snow, or in a weird position in the snow. That they would come off as he was playing. But I was there and would just put them back on with no issues. Again I knew this would probably happen, prior as I bought them bigger. Still yet they are a pretty good overall boot, and super easy for him to put on and pull off himself! The strap helps a little bit to keep them on but not too much. However next winter they should fit him perfectly and stay on without any issues at all! So all and all I’m glad of the purchase as I’ll get 2 years out of them rather than paying that much for just one winters wear! Especially at his age! Hope this helps? Super cute easy to put on and take off, they are a bit heavy but definitely waterproof and warm! Both our babies will get use out of these. Great brand never disappoints.

    • So easy to put on
I have been buying these boots year after year, both for my daughter and my son. Initially, I came across these when I could not get other types of snow boots on my daughter's feet when she was a toddler. The other kinds of boots, with the narrower opening at the top of the shaft and the detachable insulation, were so, so hard to put on. At the time, she couldn't yet grasp the concept of keeping her foot still while pushing forward to make her foot go in the boot. It was like trying to push a limp noodle through the shaft. Given the narrow opening of the other types of boots, the cute limp little noodle-foot never seemed to make it to the bottom and it always got stuck in the shaft. I couldn't even imagine her trying to put those other boots on by herself. These ones are super easy, and totally fabulous. They are a breeze to put on, they last, they keep their toes and feet warm, and they are comfortable. I think my daughter started using these when she 2. Now she's 7, her brother is 5, and we've ordered several pairs over the years. They also have nice colors and if you keep an eye for them off season, you can get a much better deal. ... show more

Bought for my granddaughter on her first trip to a place with snow and cold. These fit great. They were warm and durable. Also adorable 😊. One Velcro strap to secure was a plus. No zippers or strings to hassle with . Can’t beat Sorels.

    • Favorite toddler boots
These are my favorite winter boots for toddlers. They’re warm, sturdy, and easy to put on. The Velcro is amazing because you can tuck in snow pants for a more waterproof winter outfit. This is our 3rd pair and they’re worth every penny.

The boots are super nice. The kind of quality you'd expect in adult Sorel boots. They seem very warm, waterproof, and have decent traction. The fit is definitely not on the wide side of things. And while you get what you pay for, $60 for a pair of boots a toddler might wear only 3 times is a total kick to the nuts. I'm really glad I snagged these for 60% off. When I ordered these in early/mid October, they were a bit too big for my toddler. Then it didn't snow, and didn't snow, and didn't snow. Now it's December and we only just got snow, and the boots are definitely tight. ... show more

Bought this for my five year old grandson. He claims it's comfortable and seems to be able to run around in the without difficulty. No complaints of cold feet after playing in the snow for 3 hours. Seem fairly waterproof. With the cost of kids clothes and how quickly they grow out of them, these boots are a very good value. ... show more
