  • Great replacement hammock
Color: Blue/Green Stripes
I bought this hammock to replace 1 that was a few years old and was fading. The material is a good quality and the colors are vibrant and cheerful. It fit the frame perfectly and is comfortable to lay in. It easily accommodates 2 average sized adults. I would not hesitate to purchase this item again. ... show more

  • Beautiful two person ham
Color: Blue/Green Stripes
I purchased a hammock with the stand a few years ago and needed to replace the hammock portion not realizing I needed an extra long, which, thankfully I found on this site. It fits perfectly as it is extra long. The quality is wonderful and I got to enjoy it yesterday before the sun got hot and it fits perfectly with my stand, I highly recommend it ... show more

  • It's roomy & comfortable.
Color: Blue/Sand/Purple/Red Stripes
The fabric is soft and comfortable. I like that it's fabric and not netting as the climate I live in is not always that hot. Also I can set things in the hammock with me and they don't fall through the holes like my glasses and ChapStick... My only problem is that my boyfriend likes it so much that he is always in it! Even though it's made for two it depends on how comfy you are squirming around with another adult human... My free time in Mexico I live in a hammock and this works really great for me and the mountain area of Lake Tahoe California. Going to buy a second one so we have one for each of us 😍 ... show more

  • A good deal, If you know what you're getting.
Color: Blue/Green Stripes
TL;DR While the Sorbus double is ok, and suited to my particular purpose, the Vivere Brazilian Style Double Hammock is the best of the reasonably priced pseudo-Brazilian hammocks and I recommend that one for better quality and user experience right out of the bag. SEE UPDATE below. First off, I'm almost 100% certain that the fabric bed of this hammock is identical to the Hammock Sky Brazilian Double Hammock (Blue & Green Stripes). The bed dimensions are the same, and the carry bag, and the fabric, also the lack of a tag or any other identifying info. The Sorbus has the advantage of being less than half the price of the Hammock Sky. I suspect the main difference is in the clews. The photos for the Hammock Sky doubles show signifigantly nicer clews. About the Sorbus: It is pretty much what I expected, except that whoever tied the clews (the cord on the ends) was probably having a bad day. One end had a few strands that had been inverted inside the wrapped eye, so it was never going to splay properly. I apologize for not taking a photo of it before I cut it off. The other end wasn't much better. So in my case, not really hangable right out of the box. It was annoying, but ultimately not a major issue for me, because I wanted it for the fabric part. For $21, I might find 3 yards of similar 60 inch wide cotton or cotton blend fabric, but it would take me at least 3 hours to do the sewing to make that fabric into a hammock bed. I need more hammocks! Preferably ones that can be machine washed regularly. I've been sleeping on a Viviere Double for a few months now and love it. LOVE. But it needs a wash. The clews on the Viviere are perfect, and I don't want to screw them up, so I'm going to have to hand wash it very carefully. And while on the hottest days of the year it will hang dry in a reasonable time, that would be a problem in January. So I bought this Sorbus because the bed size is almost the same as the Viviere, but the clews are signifigantly shorter so I was going to cut them off anyway and redo them and experiment with some removable options. I will note that the fabric of the Sorbus seems a bit heavier, and is noticably rougher but not uncomfortably so. It has 11 tabs across the ends for the clew to run through, the Viviere has 15. So the hang may be less refined in weight distribution, less conforming on the Sorbus. UPDATE OCTOBER 2018: Raised to 4 stars because the fabric is extremely sturdy. It's been over a year, and I thought I'd give an update. I'm happily using the fabric part of two of these hammocks as part of my hammock system. The second one that I purchased in February 2018 has 12 tabs instead of 11, which works out better for my use. The Sorbus have a slightly rougher and heavier, but less stretchy fabric than the 3 seemingly identical but cheaper hammocks that I bought after my initial purchase of this one. Those are not being sold under the same name anymore, and the listing is gone so I can't link to them. I use the Sorbus fabric with the clews from a Vivere Brazilian Style Single Hammock, Desert Moon (got a warehouse one for cheap: bed way too short, I don't recommend) on my Vivere Double Hammock with Space Saving Steel Stand, Oasis, where the lack of excessive stretch is important. The cheaper ones are both slightly longer and stretch enough that even on the tightest setting with a less stretchy set of clews that I made, my bottom is brushing the crossbrace after about a week. The Sorbus fabric washes well, wears well, and I am happy with my purchase. If you're curious how I attached the clew from the Vivere to the Sorbus bed: I cut the fabric from the Vivere clews, and I use a length of (maybe 5/8ths or 1/2") rope through the tabs of fabric and the loops of the clew. A big stopper knot on each end, about 45 inches apart, and the loops through the rope in the spaces inbetween. The first and last loops of each clew are held against the knots with a simple strap hitch/lark's head. It's very comfortable. ... show more

  • Awesome
Color: Blue/Green Stripes
I just had to buy a new hammock after having the same hammock for eight years. I live in Ohio. I did take it in during the winter, but it held up really good. Eight years is awesome. I just ordered another one for a couple of days so I can enjoy the fall weather. I washed it in my washing machine last week tied the one end,but I didn’t the other for some reason and I think that messed up the strings and that’s why it broke. it was a great hammock lasted eight years. I would highly recommend. ... show more

  • Not quite high quality, but pleasant for the price
Color: Blue/Green Stripes
For the price-point, this is a great deal. But one does get for what one pays. When I opened the package, I found that the end-ropes that surround the rope thimble are simply bundled and wrapped, rather than braided. This alone doesn't bug me, but I think it creates a tension problem. When I lay in the very center of the hammock, I feel as if I'm being rolled over to the edge. The hollow in which I should be cradled is not the middle of the hammock; it's closer to one side. I think this is caused by the center support ropes having more tension than those near the edge. Since I bought this for myself, not for two, I can lay off center and still enjoy it. I've also found that this affect makes it comfortable to sit in it perpendicularly, like a chair, with my legs hanging over the edge. I know that I couldn't do this with a properly tensioned hammock. That's a nice way to mitigate the problem, and it's easier to browse on my tablet this way. The provided ropes are a rather thin parachute cord. They nearly broke through the first day. I somewhat expected this. As a previous hammock owner, I only ever use chain, whose links make hanging any hammock adjustable. So, for the price, I do enjoy it. So far, the loops show no evidence of tearing. It has a great travel bag made of the same fabric. The fabric is soft, but it has a relatively rough texture, somewhat like the cloth used to make Baja hoodies from the 80's. The blue and green colors are very soothing. ... show more
