Seen lots of reviews about over heating. This phone has not overheated on me from normal use, which includes browsing multiple apps, games, videos, and calls. Tried long lengths of time for all of those just to see. The hottest the phone gets is when using the camera/video for a long time. The phone then might get slower and unresponsive, but it has never crashed. The camera on this phone is great though, best phone camera I have ever used. With all that, I like this phone a lot. It's fast and responsive. Screen quality is amazing, better then Samsung's phones, not sure about iphones but who likes iphones. The fingerprint reader is a little too sensitive, so it sometimes reads when it's in your pocket and you'll have to unlock the phone with the normal passcode ... show more

Several issues. The main being when using speaker phone. Whenever on a call people were telling me that they could not hear me and what they were hearing was themselves echo back when talking. Putting it in a case would make the issue worse. Frequent overheating, especially when outdoors. Phone would get very hot, even when just checking email, browsing the internet, etc. Battery life was terrible. The device does not work in Canada,.. Even when I had the Xperia 1 III I was told by Sony that it was an international model that is why it is not working in Canada and I should get the US version if I want it to work, I placed the order for the Xperia 1 IV from amazon whom shios it to Canada just to find out it has the same issue and it cannot be used in Canada Sony lied to me regarding this and made me spend another $1800 and amazon should not be selling this to country that don't support it. Tried to get a refund only to find out amazon is only giving me back $600 of the $1800 spent. Shame on both ... show more

Great phone that was doing everything I wanted until the fingerprint sensor died. It doesn't read my fingerprints and just tells me to wipe the sensor. Sony support is unhelpful even under warranty

I thought the deal was for both, but I had to pay full price for both products?? 200+ for headphones then 1600 for phone? I think I got scammed. Phone charges super slow. Takes 2+ hrs to full charge and it lasts not even a full day because the display is pretty much always on. Phone thinks it's being accessed in pocket so everytime I take it out it is locked. Suppose to be a really good camera, yet it always overheats 2 mins into using the video/camera app. Looks good but definitely not worth the premium price. ... show more

When using the phone, it gets hot, the the overheat symbol come on and it starts shutting down apps that are running Especially pronounced when other apps are running and you use the camera or taking videos.

Want a mediocre battery life? A phone that constantly gets hot? That shuts down itself for no reason? A phone you cannot call on speaker because the microphone sucks? A screen that promises 120hz, but randomly drops to 60hz and becomes laggy? A phone that takes forever to charge and quick to drain? Impressed by the 12gb of ram? Well, with all apps closed it uses 6-7gb of ram. Wanna put it in you pocket? I have called 911 three times by accident on my pocket idk how. The camera is OKAY, but no, it does not compare to the S22 or iph14, especially at night. What is the point on being capable of taking 4k120fps video if you can only do it for a couple minutes or less than a minute if you are in ARIZONA! I bought this $1,500 phone expecting it to last me for at LEAST 4 years, but at 6 months I am starting to HATE IT ALREADY My first angry moment with this phone is realizing I should've bough a google phone, cause I ALREADY DID with this phone, it does not have a GALLERY!!!! HOW ON EARTH A CAMERA-PHONE DOES NOT COME WITH A WAY TO SEE YOUR CAMERA STUFF! It comes with the awful google Files app, and everything on this phone is handed to google. So paying 1500 USD was not enough for a gallery, I had to purchase one. I'll stop here before I burn my phone... Don't buy it ... show more
