The battery lasts long, the quality of the phone is as expected! I had my last Experia for 10 years....if AT&T didn't stop me from allowing it on their network, I would still have it. Dropped it, took pictures and video in the rain/snow, never an issue....never a dropped call.....never a cracked screen or did it need to be repaired! Great value for the price, even if you pay full price when it first comes out, it is worth it! Specially since it lasts forever. I bought this phone for 2 main reasons: The 3.5 headphone jack and the Sony photo technology! If you want to get better sound quality, you need a third-party app for equalization, because the built-in one is very bad, but the integrated DAC works so well. Functions like Dual Messenger are not integrated as in Samsung. You will need a 3rd party app to not integrate functions. The photos are great because they do not over-process it. A good photo captures what you are actually seeing, not an interpretation of it. ... show more

Great phone that was doing everything I wanted until the fingerprint sensor died. It doesn't read my fingerprints and just tells me to wipe the sensor. Sony support is unhelpful even under warranty

I just bought it because I needed an upgrade that supported a higher android for network security for work, but I'm very pleased. It has almost the same profile as the Xperia 1-II, but a lot more muscle under the sleeves.

    • ÓNly nice thing I can say is that has an old school headphone port and the screen lasted 3 years.

Not a very sustainable phone. I started having problems nearly immediatley after purchasing with the phone shutting off randomly. I called customer support at least twice during my warranty period and was just advised to factory restart.....it didn't help. TOday, about 3 years and 1.5 months after my initial purchase date, it became stuck on an initial boot screen and is not reapairable through any method listed online or using their specific online repair app for this specific problem (so weird ithas a repair site for the boot screen issue). I additionally was less than thrilled with the camera and the speakers got tinny and distorted about a year ago. I'll take it to the shop tomorrow, but I lack hope. My previous phone was a samsung which lasted me about twice as long before dieing. 2 stars because this may be the last phone in existance that has an actual headphone port. Never had problems with the screen, but I do neurotically put those little glass covers on my screens...... ... show more

    • Pretty bad bugs with Wifi; no update changelogs
The phone was restarting whenever it disconnected from a wifi network; this was "fixed" by deleting my home network. Which is obviously bad. The communication from Sony is also lacking as this is a well known problem and support acts oblivious about it. The updates to the phone also don't have a changelog or any information on what's inside which is just gross. How can I know if they've fixed anything or changed anything I should know about? ... show more

Seen lots of reviews about over heating. This phone has not overheated on me from normal use, which includes browsing multiple apps, games, videos, and calls. Tried long lengths of time for all of those just to see. The hottest the phone gets is when using the camera/video for a long time. The phone then might get slower and unresponsive, but it has never crashed. The camera on this phone is great though, best phone camera I have ever used. With all that, I like this phone a lot. It's fast and responsive. Screen quality is amazing, better then Samsung's phones, not sure about iphones but who likes iphones. The fingerprint reader is a little too sensitive, so it sometimes reads when it's in your pocket and you'll have to unlock the phone with the normal passcode ... show more
