    • Excellent blue tooth earbuds
My main reason for getting these earbuds was for noise cancellation and music. I wanted to be able to cut the lawn and listen to music. I have a John Deere S160 and when the mower deck is on, you can't hear anything over it. Full "ear muff" headsets are uncomfortable to wear in hot weather and make it very difficult to wear a had for sun protection. I have tried other in ear devices, but without noise cancelling, you can't hear the music over the mower. I got these and put some music on, started up the mower and engaged the mower deck and immediately couldn't hear the music. I "tapped" the noise cancelling on and was amazed. I could still hear the deck, but only a little. The music came in loud and clear. I was totally pleased. In addition, the "tap" controls are great an allow me to control noise cancelling and playback with a simple tap of my finger. These are also great to use to talk on the phone. Nice hands free operation without having to turn the speaker on. I have not found earbuds that I consider comfortable, but these come close. The battery life is good. It takes me between 4 and 6 hours to cut the lawn. The battery will last almost the 6 hours and since I stop along the way to take a break, just a few minutes in the charging case insure that they will still be running when I am finished. ... show more

    • Great sound, terrible battery life
These headphones sound great when they work. However, the renewed version has the same battery issues as the brand-new version. I'm 8 months into my pair and the right ear bud doesn't fully charge and runs out of charge within an hour. Edit: I've downgraded my review. I accidentally broke my Amazon Renewed replacing the battery (AGAIN) and sprung for another pair, renewed by A17 Group; Big mistake. First pair came in DOA. It would take a charge, but not connect. Put in for a replacement and got the 2nd pair in. These connected, but the left earbud would not work. Not going to purchase a third pair. Stay away from them. Both pairs were shipped in a tiny box with only some thinly padded foam protecting the case and 3rd party rubber tips, not the foam kind. ... show more

    • The best headphone I owned!
The noice canceling is the best I've ever heard, its sounds like I'm have ear plugs in with no music playing. But, when I turn off the the noise canceling there is a wind noise. The sound quality is also good. I feel like I at a concert with them in. Battery life last about 8 hrs with out charging for one ear. The cost is a little high but, I think is worth the price. The durability is satisfactory it feels its made out of some good material nothing feels cheap. The only problem I have is that if you drop the case from any hight the lid will open and headphones will pop out. Drop form high enough you might lose the headphones. I got these earbuds to test out the state of noise cancelling earbuds. In my opinion they do not come up to the praise that I have read by professional reviewers. They do a fairly good job at noise cancellation, but are a bit heavy, a bit bulky, really could use longer battery life, and are clumsy to retrieve from the charging case. Although these are renewed items I find nothing that appears defective to them. The ear cushions are somewhat uncomfortable but you can get used to that. A good seal in the ear canal is essential to proper operation. I found the delay in responding to command taps and my spoken voice to be too long for comfortable operation. I have to anticipate the delay when using those features which is awkward when dealing with someone interrupting you. I estimate noise reduction of 6-9 db, which takes the edge off loud noises but doesn't give you real relief from them. They do seem to be more effective at reducing droning noise, and I am hoping that they will make airline flights more bearable by that but have been unable to test yet. I estimate droning noise reduction at greater than 20 db. The app is useful, but not greatly so. Still you need to install it to manage the earbuds. I've had no difficulties with the app on my Pixel phone. I wish these units were better, but they seem to be nearly the best available when I bought them. Still I give them 4 stars as a good, though imperfect, product for noise cancellation. ... show more

This is my second pair of these. First pair was great, but was destroyed by my overzealous dog. This new pair works, but when in noise cancelling the right earbud makes noise like wind blowing into the mic. It happens randomly for no reason and sounds like something crawling into my ear. Extremely uncomfortable sound to have in your ear canal. Otherwise these work exactly how you'd expect. ... show more

They sound awesome. They are replacing a set I bought refurbished that lasted 2 months with battery problems. This set lasts long and recharges as OEM specs. I'm almost compelled to get another set for longevity. Because I can't find another manufacturer or set that sounds this good. Granted I'm commenting on in-ear buds only I hate over ear headphones just because. The xm5's bass is horrible with a larger speaker inside to boot. The xm4's bass will rock your brain when using the right app like Poweramp. Using Sonys codec LDAC and equalizer settings are key. So you can still get your hands on brand new xm4 direct from Sony at a optimal price which is close to the xm5 which is their newest model that doesn't make sense.     • Started out great, didn’t last 2 years
Owned these for exactly 2 years. Worked great for first year, maybe year&half. Noise cancelling worked well. Sound quality is pretty good. Started having battery issues. First one stopped holding charge, had battery replaced, now same issue with the other. Additionally, the left earbud now cuts out constantly. They’re useless at the moment. Sending them back again. The only reason I still have them is the Amazon Asurion extended warranty. (Excellent customer service). Not sure I’d buy *any* wireless earbuds again. Seems dumb to spend $170 on earbuds that barely last 2 years. Glad I didn’t buy these new at full price. ... show more

Forget Airpods, Beats, Bose, whatever other earbuds exist. If you got the money to spend on the best quality earbuds, I recommend the Sony WF-1000XM4. Noise cancelling that makes my tinnitus act up, battery life that can outlive the neighbor's annoying chihuahua and an amazing sound quality that makes me think I am in a concert. I highly recommend these. Price is pretty hefty, I am aware, but you truly do get what you pay for with these earbuds. ... show more
