  • Useful, but very over-priced. People with dexterity issues should approach with caution.
This grip provides a convenient way to hold and partially control all but the original RX100 cameras. However, as I note, if you have issues with hand and finger dexterity, this may not work out well. You attach the grip's microUSB cable to the camera's Multi port. There is no power control on the grip, so you still have to turn the power on using the button on the top of the camera/ This necessitates an extra, time consuming step. In my opinion, there should be provision for ON/OFF control of the camera on the handle. Because of arthritis in my fingers, this results in a little bit of a juggling act. There's a control for the zoom lens, which is very handy. It is easily accessible to the thumb and operates smoothly - for a person without the dexterity issues I noted above. After a couple of tries, I found that my limited dexterity made the controls somewhat difficult to manipulate. Buttons for still photos and video are easily accessed by the thumb, again presuming no dexterity issues. The camera may be positioned in selfie or normal mode. Fully abled vloggers and selfie takers will love how simple this grip makes their lives. The flip-up screen on the RX 100 comes into its own when using this grip. I do wish the legs were a little longer, though. The head of the grip, by the way, tilts forward and back. The grip's legs spread to form a little tripod, which is usable as long as you don't have the camera tilted too far forward or back. My one complaint is that I think the grip is over-priced. In my opinion, it should sell for half it's list price or less. I don't hold Sony responsible for the difficulties I encountered: my disability is not their responsibility - and I really do wish the product was more comfortable for me to use. Jerry ... show more

  • Good Grip, Not perfect but close
The length of the handle should be about an inch longer for comfort and stabilization. Other than that, works great.

  • Really nice grip
I have a Sony camera and I hate where they put the on and off switch. This is really good because the grip feels good and the shooting button is right where you want it. Now it doesn't have gimbal controls like the other Sony unit but my camera didn't have bluetooth. Get the other one Sony sells if you have bluetooth because it is much better. This unit is smaller so it is easier to carry which is nice. ... show more

  • A Right-angle connector would have been perfect.
Grip feels great and adds ergonomics and handling the camera itself lacks. Even assembled, the unit is still small enough to fit in small bags and jacket pockets. However I feel the cable could benefit from a right angle connector at the camera end, otherwise I wouldn't have to worry about disconnecting the cable when putting the unit in my bag or pocket to prevent straining it. ... show more

  • A must have!!!
I always wanted to have this thing. I finally purchased it and I’m loving it. Good for grip and useful when I record my son for his vlog. It’s mostly good outdoors when you take videos. Love it! I’m going to include this in my camera bag as it small but very nice.

  • Must have for the rx100
This grip is a perfect match for the rx100. I love everything about this grip. The people complaining after purchasing this grip are the same people that return stuff to Walmart 3 days later for the cash because they are broke and wanted to impulse buy then needed the money back so ignore the negative reviews. ... show more

  • Works for someone with only the use of their left hand.
I got this for my disabled wife who only has use of her left hand. It allows her to use a camera, as they all have right side shutter buttons. It’s perfect for her.
