  • Renewed is great savings
My “renewed” lens might as well have been new! Came with all original packaging and accessories, even the original Sony box. Initial examination and testing shows the lens is perfect.

  • Incredible lens and excellent seller.
Fantastic lens, built very well. Auto focus is slow compared to newer lenses but it’s hard to beat the incredible sharpness and macro capability. Also as a side note , the seller of this lens shipped this product and got it to my house in less than 16 hours. Could not be more pleased.

  • Quiet Focus, Sharp and Crisp
Good, sharp lens. One of Sony's best, really made my pictures pop, even with my APS-C a6600. Renewed product came in original packaging with manual and protective film. I do a lot of solo stock footage and cinematography and love that this lens can shoot close-up subjects and I can use the audio right out of the camera without needing an external mic. A lot of macro lenses are really loud while they focus. This one is really quiet and quick. Also, F2.8 means AMAZING low-light performance with colors that absolutely pop. ... show more

  • The Tamron 90mm Macro is a decade newer design.....and just better in most ways.
The Tamron 90mm Macro is just a better choice for most, unless your Sony camera lacks IBIS and you needs lens stabilization. Shot the new Tamron 90mm Macro side by side with the old Sony 90mm Macro. My A7R5 has amazing IBIS, so that feature on the Sony 90mm does not help me significantly. The SONY 90mm Macro is a decade out of date and feels like it. The Sony autofocus in this lens is dated, and it is loud. The focus breathing is horrendous. If you can get focus the Sony can still make sharp pictures, but the Tamron is even sharper. The Sony 90mm lens autofocus is not confident, it hunts around in a way that reminds me of my wife's old Lumix G9 before they went to phase detect autofocus. If you get the Sony just understand you will be using that clutch feature to manually get focus often. The autofocus hunts the most in low light, with the autofocus motor whirling loudly to remind you that it is not having much luck locking focus. The Tamron is a decade newer, released just a few months ago, costs a lot less, and nails focus much faster and more consistently. If you shoot the 90mm Tamron and the Sony 90mm side by side, odds are you keep the Tamron and send back the Sony. I have older Sony lenses that shine, still use a Sony 24-105mm, love my 200-600mm, and my 20mm F1.8 G. Sadly, this 90mm Sony Macro feels just too dated and against the new Tamron 90mm Macro it was really no contest. ... show more

  • Lens didn't work right out of the box
You know things happen. Shipping... who knows. Refund was prompt and I was sad it didn't work out but... I didn't see any damage on the lens just didn't work. I would buy from 6ave through Amazon again. Thank you 6ave.

  • Still testing
I'm no professional. Using on an A6500. I have always had "issues" with the autofocus on all but the cheap lenses on this camera. Only have a couple of hours on the lens so far, but liking both the manual & auto focus options. I am about to spend a week testing it I will post pix after.
