The sound is great for me....for what I use it for. I don't like using Bluetooth all the time with my hearing aids as batteries run down rather quickly and I find this headset gives better quality sound. I also don't like spending lots of $$$ for something I need only for listening to audio books, the tv, and music from my phone. The headset fits well and sits well on my ears .... over my hearing aids. I haven't noticed the noise cancelling or maybe it just makes "noise" less evident. I agree with others that, yes, running my yard blower or vacuum may lessen the noise but it doesn't eliminate it. But I also didn't have to pay $100 or $200+.....for good quality and a nice fit. I have a real old Sony headset that I kept using because the sound was the best....at the time it was purchased off a discount rack .... and although I've purchased other less expensive ones, they just did not have the sound I needed for the price I wanted to pay until now. So I'm happy to finally have this to replace that one I still use but has shredded ear caps and the band is stretched and no longer fits tight. The headphones were easy to pack to take on trip. The only thing is I would have appreciated the ear cups being larger to actually fit over my ears instead of on top of my ears. Otherwise they worked very nicely and efficiently. Good deal for the money.

Noise cancelling is above average and much better that the free ear buds that the airline gives. Sound quality is average; no significant stereo quality and volume control. Good for the price.
