These headphones are my favorite. Got my first set a few years ago for my child to use in the car after going through 3 sets of “kids” headphones in a year. I was thrilled with how durable they were. They lasted for years before being lost. I purchased a replacement set and got a set for myself. The replacement set for my son lasted through 2 years of elementary school before my kid left his school tablet on the ground and a classmate stepped on the jack and snapped it off. Bought these to watch movies and music videos on my phone. I chose them because of the Sony name. Wasn't expecting sound like a $100 pair, but a little better than how they do sound, which is on the muffled side, lacking in high range. Ended up downloading an equalizer app to correct it. The construction is on the light side, reminding me of a pair of Monster headphones that sounded great, but after about six months of non-abusive use, the headband broke in two places. Everything works better than expected, and the price is low. Sony knows how to make headphones. They hit a market niche by offering high quality headphones at a low price. I can give these to my kids and not care too much if they get destroyed. I also keep a pair myself for the same reason.
