I can't wear the earphones that stick in your ear. Even with the smallest rubber pad, they hurt my ears. Especially if I lay down. This style is the only type I can tolerate. The sound isn't too bad for the style. And they don't hurt my ears. I try to buy a few at a time. I use them in bed, often falling asleep with them on. So occasionally, after a year or so, I might get a short where the cable meets the ear piece. But I often fall asleep, roll over, and they probably get pulled. They are my favorite headphones. I hope they continue making them. I use them in bed for music and movie on my ipad -yes still have this type of ipad- They don’t hurt. I keep 2 or 3 in my drawer in case they are discontinued.

I bought these as they looked like the closest thing to what i had previously. Unfortunately, the ear buds that I had for 10 years finally broke and Sony no longer makes this style any longer. Question for the day: If something isn't broken and has a good value, why change it?

Earbuds are really a personal preference item. Some that other people love you might hate those, but for me and my son these are great. I like to wear them and just get to work so I do not want earbuds that come out super easy. These you rotate when you put them in and they move into place and that makes them stay in better.
