  • Super Slim & Simplified OLED Model That Looks Great All Around. AWESOME as a Computer Monitor!
Size: 48 Style: TV Only
I am going to preface this by saying that we also own the much more expensive and much larger Bravia OLED tv, so I am looking at this tv in a bit of a lower regard, but it's also way cheaper. We really got this as a computer monitor for my husband to replace an old Westinghouse, so it's a huge upgrade. This is insanely slim and almost looks like a framed picture. We have it hung, and it hugs the wall and just looks super clean. This is a more base model OLED, but the image output is still clear and mostly crisp. Some streaming channels look a little more blurry, like Netflix for some reason, but overall most look great. There's numerous different settings you can change to clean up the image as you wish, but not nearly as much as the pricier model. The image right out of the box isn't terrible, but you may want to modify the settings, especially for the black levels as even at 50% some areas can look like black holes. This tv excells at being a monitor, and it supports high fps and low latency so my husband can play his online games and not lag a bit. Since it's larger and the bezel is so slim, it really helps with better immersion. My husband has really been enjoying it! There's 2 USB ports, an ethernet port, and 4 HDMI ports which are all 4k (which is actually better than the more expensive model!). One of those HDMI ports also supports eARC/ARC. My husband does note that he needs to find a way to stop the screensaver, as when he is playing for a longer period, a popup will say it's going to turn on screensaver. Not ideal in the middle of action, but it should be something we can turn off. The remote has a bunch of app buttons and all you have to do to both turn on the tv and go straight to an app is press one of them. It's been nice to have a dual tv/monitor so a kid can watch tv if one of their siblings is playing the PS5 on the larger tv. It's very versatile. Overall, this is a huge upgrade for my husband, and he says he really likes how his games look on it. It's definitely not as crisp and colorful as the higher priced models, but as an entry level OLED, it's really beautiful and works great! ... show more

  • 4.5 stars Stunning Picture Quality and Easy Setup, with Only Minor Slow‑Start Frustrations
Size: 55 Style: TV Only
This Sony BRAVIA 6 OLED earns a strong 4.5‑star rating thanks to its exceptional picture quality, reliability, and overall performance. Setting it up was incredibly easy, especially with a Google account, and the initial app selection during setup was far better than what I experienced with my Fire TV. It took a little time to learn where to add additional apps, but once I found it, everything made sense. The Gemini voice search works well, though I still prefer typing the search manually. Transitioning from Fire TV to Google TV does take some adjustment because the home screen layout is different, but it’s intuitive once you get used to it. The remote control is lightweight, easy to use, and has a satisfying quiet pop‑click sound when pressing the buttons. I also love that you can use your phone as a second remote. The ability to set up multiple user profiles is a great touch, everyone gets a more personalized home screen. The picture quality is where this TV truly shines. The colors are vibrant, the details are incredibly sharp, and the OLED contrast makes familiar shows look brand new. Even though this TV is smaller than my previous one, the picture is so impressive that it quickly became our main TV. The brightness is perfect for the room, and the wide viewing angle means the picture looks great no matter where you sit. The sound quality is excellent, with several options including Dolby and Dolby Atmos. The TV itself is very thin, the back is flat, and it was easy to mount on the wall. The legs feel sturdy and heavy, though I didn’t use them since it’s wall‑mounted. The only drawback, and the reason this is 4.5 stars instead of 5, is the slow startup time. It takes a few minutes before you can do anything after turning it on. Once it’s fully loaded, though, switching between apps is fast and smooth. Overall, this TV delivers top‑tier quality, stability, and reliability, with only a minor delay at startup keeping it from being absolutely perfect. ... show more

  • Fantastic image! Easy to operate for the tech savvy. Mounts easily to common mounts.
Size: 55 Style: TV Only
It practically goes without saying that this is the best TV I have owned since smart TV's came on the market. The screen is simply amazing. It took me a little bit to get used to the color, but that is becasue I was using TVs with much lower quality screens. Once I watched a number of free 4K and higher demo videos, it became absolutely horrifically obvious just how bad my previous TV's actually were. I have nothing but praise for the screen quality! As for the built in audio, it is a single speaker, and it is no slouch. Sure it isn't amazing, but it is plenty good to listen to, and it can be used in combination with many other audio solutions. I am really enjoying the eARC HDMI connection with my new atmos audio system. The profile of the actual physical TV is surprisingly thin. I don't have a typical TV mounting setup, as I had to physically modify my massive wood media center and mount a TV mount to it. The narrow thickness of this TV made it possible to install this 55" TV on my mount with relative ease. I was prepared to make some pretty big modifications, but I was extremely happy finding I only had to add a shim to the back of my TV mount. It does take a couple of people to mount this safely, but a TV of this caliber deserves all the care you can provide. While there are TV's with super thin bezels, this TV has a ~1/4" bezel. Yet this TV is about the largest my living room can handle so the bezel is more than thin enough, and I am glad it has the bezel for a bit of edge protection. The remote is easy to navigate with, and it is fairly barebones, and now I understand why, which is one of my biggest gripes. which I will explain later. The responsiveness of this TV has simply been wonderful. Regardless of using the remote, the app, or voice, the TV simply responds immediately. It has been a long time since I had a smart TV that did not hesitate or require multiple attemtps to get a response. When I want to change channels, or apps, it simply does it! The operating system is far faster and more responsive than my roku and amazon systems. I like the increased memory on this smart TV as well and that may play a part in how fast this TV responds to commands. There are many technical details that would take me forever to discuss. PLEX works perfectly, and I love that PLEX is one of the foremost apps ready to setup and use. I really appreciate that. The remote has all the major services I prefer, which is probably only useful for a section of users, but in my case I like it, and having a programmable button to assign to PLEX or TV is fantastic. I only wish it had up to 4 programmable buttons. Now, my biggest and most painful gripe. This is a TV! Yes I understand it is a 'smart' TV, but there needs to be a setting to have the actual TV be the first thing that comes on. Not self promotion, not a bunch of rows of streaming options, not a bunch of apps. TV! Just TV! My dad is absolutely in love with watching his football games on this TV. In his opinion it is far better than actually being there. Yet, trying to teach him how to get to the TV part of this smart TV is a nightmare in progress. I really hope there is a way to get the broadcast TV channels to be first on the screen so he can enjoy the TV. Eventually he will pick up on it, but the way the operating system and its self promotion of other services first and foremost works, it is a royal pain. Someone tech savvy like me can scroll through the OS as easy as breathing, but smart TV's are not made to be easily navigable by our older less tech savy population. To sum it all up, we love it! we love it! we love it! ... show more

  • Extremely disappointed
Size: 77 Style: TV Only
I am the owner of 2 Samsung 75” Smart TV’s. I will have to say I am truly disappointed wth the picture on the Bravia 6 tv. For $2200, I was expecting a picture as clear if not clearer than what the Samsung gives and it IS NOT. The only reason I didn’t get another Samsung is, I’ve had 2 to mess up in the last 5 years. You can get a better picture for a lot less money with the Samsung, BUT make sure you get the extended warranty on it. ... show more

  • Significant Upgrade over entry level TV’s.
Size: 55 Style: TV Only
The upgrade was obvious the moment I turned this TV on. I replaced an existing 1080p Sony tv so the swap only took about 20 minutes. Most of the time was unboxing and cable cleanup. This has 4-HDMI ports so I got rid of my external video switcher. The OLED panel delivers extremely deep blacks and a crispness that stands out. Sports and nature programs seem to be what showcases the quality the best. This is an advance TV and it will take me a while to get used to all it can do. I’m not used to asking my TV for so much… it’s the future. Streaming apps built into the TV work, but my external 4K streamer still produces the cleanest motion and best decoding. It also talks to the TV to match frame rate and picture mode automatically, which gives the most impressive, hyper realistic images and natural motion. Over‑the‑air antenna channels look surprisingly detailed, better than I expected for broadcast content. The design is impossibly thin but feels strong. My magnetic level stuck to the back, which says something about the build quality. I have it wall‑mounted using the included screws, which fit correctly without guessing lengths or risking damage. The bezel is small enough that the picture feels like it floats. The TV recognized and correctly labeled every device I plugged in, and the Sony remote works as a second remote for the external streamer without any setup because it controls the box through the HDMI cable. The viewing angle is wide, and the picture stays accurate and colorful even far off‑center. I do not use the auto‑brightness feature because my room layout confuses the sensor, but manual settings work fine. The TV already does more than any of my previous sets. The tv as a microphone with a physical switch. Gemini does searches and can give you information and find related videos. The overall experience keeps improving the more I use it. ... show more

  • Beautiful OLED picture and more capable than I expected
Size: 55 Style: TV Only
Impressive TV with an amazing picture. After the initial setup and installing the apps I use, I went straight to YouTube. Interestingly, the #1 video it recommended was an "OLED 4K Demo" type video, and I was mesmerized by the picture quality. I can practically put my face up against this TV and it still looks good. The colors and clarity are brilliant, the blacks really are absolutely black to my eyes, and the picture is smooth and crisp. I was also impressed that at least one popular 3D game could be installed directly on the TV as an app, with no console or PC. I connected my Bluetooth controller and played it directly on the TV. I wasn't expecting that. It looked like it was running at fairly minimal graphics quality, but it was playing and my controller worked. This TV is very thin, and the instructions warn not to pinch the screen with your thumb when lifting it. I can see why. The back has a thicker section, but the screen becomes extremely thin at the edges, so I handled it carefully. The picture and color quality look excellent even from a very side-angle view, and the sound quality is excellent too. It comes with two small but sturdy legs that screw onto the bottom. With the legs installed, it feels stable. Power use has also been pretty low in my setup. My backup battery reports about 40W-90W depending on how bright the picture is. A dark movie can hover around 40W, while a mostly white screen can approach 100W. Most movies I've watched hover around 60W, considerably less than my old TV used. The remote is quite nice. I turned on Gemini mode in the TV settings, and I can press and hold the microphone button on the remote and speak naturally to it. It hears me clearly from across the room, and I can use my voice to run searches. ... show more

Size: 55 Style: TV Only
Arrived apparently undamaged in an undamaged box. Would not power on -- totally DOA. Returning for a refund -- Amazon was VERY helpful and understanding. Re-ordered a 55" Bravia XR8B instead, for the same price. Maybe the Bravia 6 had just been the warehouse too long ... 😅

  • A nice mid priced OLED TV from a respected brand
Size: 55 Style: TV Only
A nice looking TV, aesthetically. It's really thin and has a bulge in the back for all of the electronics. I think it probably serves best as a 2nd room TV, like in a bedroom, or for those on a budget. Excellent black levels and performance with my PS5. Good color but not the brightest OLED TV. Being a glossy screen, it does have some reflections so it's not a good TV for a bright room or a room with windows. I think you'll have to pay considerably more for a better TV with better anti-reflective qualities in those environments. I think it probably compares to the LG B6 TV, which is comparable in price. ... show more
