No question this is an expensive product. BUT it is worth it. The sound is incredible and you can adjust the EQ settings. The Era 100 is exactly why I keep coming back to Sonos. At this point I have 20+ Sonos products throughout my home, and every time they release something new, I wonder if it’ll actually move the needle. This one absolutely does. The sound quality is a noticeable step up from previous models in this size. The stereo separation is wider, the bass is fuller without being muddy, and vocals come through incredibly clean. It easily fills a room, and pairing two of them takes things to another level. Setup, as always with Sonos, is seamless. It integrated into my existing system in minutes, and Trueplay tuning helped dial everything in perfectly for the space. I also appreciate the updated controls- more intuitive and responsive than older models. One of the biggest advantages of Sonos is how everything just works together, and the Era 100 fits right into that ecosystem. Whether I’m grouping rooms, streaming music, or switching between TV audio and playlists, it’s effortless. If you’re already in the Sonos ecosystem, this is a no-brainer upgrade. If you’re new to Sonos, this is one of the best entry points you can buy. Clean design, excellent sound, and the reliability Sonos is known for - easy 5 stars.

I already have 2 Era 100's and a Sub mini in my Family room. They sound fantastic. Some times I like to sit in my Living room and read, or meditate. But I would turn the volume up in the family room so I could hear those speakers. So I decided to get a third Era 100 for my living room. I put it on a small decorative shelf. I must say it is everything I imagined it would be. When setting it up I didn't know I could turn off selected speakers. This was a unexpected plus for me. So if I am in my living room I could just have the one Era 100 speaker play and vice versa. Or I could have all three and the sub mini playing at the same time. After having the 2 Era 100's and Sub mini for a couple of months now, I had forgotten how good just 1 Era 100 speaker sound. I did notice the two Era 100's paired with the sub sound more clear and crisp than the single Era 100's. That's because the Sub mini is using the low that the Era 100's would had normally played. Great concept in sound and speakers. I just turned the treble up a little bit more in the single Era 100 to get more highs. Sounds good. It's too bad Sonos doesn't allow for multiple Sub minis connected in the same group, it would be phenomenal. I had read somewhere that it wasn't cost effective for the consumer to buy 2 Sub minis when 1 Gen 3 Sub woofer has more output than two Sub minis. I say who cares Sonos? If a consumer wants to spend their money on a second Sub mini and put in in another room in the same speaker group it's their prerogative. If that's true then their business model doesn't make since to me. Set up was a breeze too. Because I didn't use a tutorial to set this up, it took me a few minutes to figure out how to select the speaker, because at first the single Era 100 didn't play although it was connected. But the setup was a breeze. Very easy. I may get another Era 100 (this time used) and put it in my kitchen and I'll have sound throughout all of downstairs. I've been fortunate to not have problems with the app, unlike many others. I am very impressed and satisfied.

Ok, here i am to give my honest review of my Sonos Era 100. I have good and bad points to make with this, but i knew it was not perfect before i purchased it. I bought this anyway for the sound quality and not really the extra voice features since i already have the Alexa i use. Just do not expect this to operate like the Alexa because it does not. At least not for me. And what i do not like about the Sonos is that for the voice you have to say, "HEY SONOS." and you cannot just say Sonos, you have to use both words. Alexa i can use just one wake word to use it and even change it, with the Sonos you cannot. Even though i got the Alexa app to work with the Sonos which i wanted to try anyway, it was a major disappointment, you hear the Alexa voice, but it would not operate any of my lights with Sonos. Not a major issue anyway since i already have it working with 2 Alexa units already. But if you are buying this for the Alexa feature, its a disappointment. Now for the sound. I heard so many good reviews about the audio quality so i had to give this a shot. The speaker was actually smaller than expected, but do not let that fool you. The sound was excellent quality and the music sounds very separated with the vocal and music which sounds great, and much louder too. I am using the Sonos speaker for my computer and basically music. I am now going to give you another honest review when comparing this to the Newer Echo devices. Buy the echo devices if you are wanting it for the home lights and tv use, but do not expect the audio quality like the Sonos has. Both the Echo and Sonos have good points, this is why i have both. Alexa for my lights and news and weather, however, if its audio you are looking for, i would spend the extra money for the Sonos and skip the Echo devices. Plus i do like the small size that does make it easy for Sonos to be placed just about anywhere. The bottom line with my review, if you want audio quality, then Sonos is for you. If you want to voice activate lights then the Echo's are better. But i have no regrets at all about buying this Sonos speaker.

Fantastic little speaker. We use it in a 4000sf showroom, and it pairs with additional units easily. Integrates with airplay, spotify etc very well. Perfect for a simple music solution where you just need some background music.

As good as this speaker is supposed to sound, the software is still a broken mess. I heard that software was bad, but I didn't expect to be to unusable. Especially since it's been months and the issues have not been fixed. Here was my experience. Setting up the speaker, took the speaker about 5 mins to connect to WiFi. Software kept saying login as the system owner, I would but then it would show that I needed to login. Trying to add the speaker to a room, it would try for 5 mins and then show an error. Cleared cache, tried a few more times and then finally software went back to adding speaker. Finally get the speaker added and it finally showed I was logged in. Next, tried to add Alexa support. It would sit at logging in to Amazon. Would never log in. Google research showed that you have to delete the amazon shopping app before it will work. This bug is over 6 months old!!!! Finally get Alexa added but Alexa doesn't support YouTube Music. Ok, lets add YouTube Music to Sonos app. Added, but then nothing shows up. You search for anything, it finds nothing. So no way to play music from the app. Ok, lets add Google Assistance to speaker. Google Assistance is not an option in Sonos app. Ok, lets add Sonos to Google Home. Log in to Sonos and then you get an error that it can't be added. Argh!!! Next day, go back in to the Sonos App and the speaker kept disconnecting and reconnecting. Boxed it up and returned it. If you use Alexa and don't use YouTube music, it 'might' be speaker you can work with, but be prepared for an extremely frustrating app experience. I don't know if Siri is an option since I don't have any apple devices but Siri does not show up as a assistant to add.

(4.5/5) I was apprehensive about purchasing a pair of these after reading so much online about the connectivity issues. We don’t have the strongest or most advanced WiFi network so I anticipated having issues—and I did. I hit my frustration threshold after trying for a couple hours to connect to my WiFi in the initial system setup. The simplest of things were just not working and troubleshooting tips online weren’t helping. Left them alone to tackle it again the next day. I had the same issues on the next attempt. So I gave in and called Sonos Support—they were wonderful. I had to download an app on my laptop and download a couple updates. The customer service rep guided me through the process and was just as excited as I was when we got everything working properly. I mention all this first because I know concerns about connectivity/issues with the app might stop a lot of people from buying these. While certainly not as easy as it should be, issues were fixed relatively easily through Sonos support. And my God—the sound quality of these speakers are amazing. You forget any troubles you had the moment you turn up the volume on your favorite music. I do consider myself an amateur audiophile and these speakers are worth the money. Hopefully Sonos is making progress with their system so that less people have to call support just for the initial setup. Removed half a star just for this. TLDR: Connectivity issues are real but fixable; sound quality is amazing.
