    • WORST TEXTING AND NAVIGATION EVER!
If you want a phone that you can text on like your old military spec Samsung, where you click the button 3 times to get the third letter, THIS IS NOT IT! There is no option to text in a normal way. You have no option but to pay close attention and select each word and select each one individually from a list of words. This is NOT a touch screen phone either. You can not complete any text without looking, and there is no option for voice to text. NO EASY TEXTING AT ALL! Texting takes 10x longer than any flip phone I have ever owned. The navigation sucks! I can absolutely understand why AT&T dropped this phone completely! If I had paid a hefty price, I'd be returning it right now. I may still return it, because who wants to be transported back to the completely inferior, unmanageable electronics ages!?!?!? I mean, seriously... don't buy this phone! You will absolutely regret it, and want to upgrade to something with even a little less hassle! NOTHING on this phone comes easy... not even adding a contact! Texting.... the worst! Imagine not being able to scroll through your previous texts with a person, or just leave them individually in a cue to be ready independently. You have to delete texts just to read the next one from the same person... because the new one falls off the bottom of the screen with no way to scroll down to it. I have never in my life been so frustrated with a phone! You can't even give yourself new shortcuts with the 4 directional button. This is seriously a huge step backward from any other flip phone on the market for over 15 years! The only good thing is that it won't break easily. That is it.... nothing else! Buy a different phone! You can't use a $$$ in certain areas of the phone, because it simply isn't an option. Don't buy this phone! The regret is very real! ... show more

    • Arrived promptly and appears to be quite rugged as advertised.
It serves the purpose I bought it for, however it has many clumsy features compared to my old Samsung Rugby 4. It only rings 4 times and quits, the outside screen is very small and difficult to see the incoming call number. I still have trouble finding my speed dial numbers. I only use this phone for making and receiving calls, so I can't comment on other features. ... show more

    • RIPOFF - Seller is selling Locked phones as Unlocked
What a waste of time. At least I got my money back - thanks Amazon! After several unanswered messages through Amazon to the vendor about the supposedly unlocked phone being locked and unusable to me I noticed their phone number and eventually talked to an unsympathetic human. Instead of giving me an unlock code she offered to exchange it for another one. "Will the new one actually be unlocked?" She would not commit to being able to actually send an unlocked phone, so I just did a return. More weeks without a phone in the nursing home for my loved one thanks to this company. I will say that the Sonim XP3 looked like a great phone for nursing home residents! Super rugged, with a durable USB-C power connector and extra loud volume. Much much better for the elderly than the flimsy "Jitterbug", which broke pretty quickly. Plus the Sonim can be used with Tello mobile, for only $5 to $10 per month. Of course the phone would need to be unlocked... ... show more

I'm a big fan of Sonim phones and had great experience with Sonim XP5 in past. My carrier is Consumer cellular and uses unlocked ATT phones, GSM network. This phone should have worked but Consumer Cellular said they don't recognize the IMEI number. Your mileage may vary.
