I am a non-trumpet player (trained on trombone years ago) who wanted a pocket trumpet so I could blow some Don Cherry-kinda free jazz and "non-ideomatic music." This fit the bill, and far exceeded my expectations in terms of quality. Am I going to take this to the Boston Symphony? Of course not, but that's not what these are for. The compact size and slightly stuffier tone is perfect for certain niche types of jazz, or broadening your tonal palette. Buy for around the cost of a good mute or two and enjoy.

TL;DR: A solid pocket trumpet for beginners or casual players, good value, comes with everything you need to get started. I've tried this pocket trumpet out a few times and it's made of high quality materials. The gold lacquer brass finish looks and feels well built for the price point. It comes as a full kit with a 7C mouthpiece, hard case, gloves, and a cleaning kit, so you're not scrambling to buy accessories separately, which is a nice bonus for anyone just starting out. Supposedly the Bb flat tuning is standard, so it plays in line with a regular full-size trumpet, just in a more compact form. This is a pretty nice trumpet for kids or adults. The smaller size actually makes it less intimidating for beginners, which is either a great feature or just a clever way to get people to pick up a hobby they'll later spend thousands on. 🎶 Value is good, especially considering everything included in the kit. If you're buying this for a child, the compact size is a real advantage for smaller hands and arms. Just make sure they're getting proper instruction early on so they don't develop bad habits that a full-size trumpet will later punish them for. 🎼

This is a really nice option if you’re looking for something small, portable, and beginner-friendly. It looks good, comes with everything you need, and is easy to carry around. The sound is decent for practice, but it’s not the same as a full-size trumpet. Overall, it’s good for learning or casual use, but not something you’d rely on professionally.

I got a trumpet but did I have a pocket trumpet? No! I thought having a trumpet in a more compact form factor would make it easier to tote around and play. Waiting to pick up my kids and want to embarrass them at school? Check. Reveille? Check! I also think the winding tubes look cooler. This thing looks great. It comes in that generic zipper case and that is fine. It looks good and comes padded so it is nice and safe. I did notice the little plastic pocket for the mouth piece was loose but nothing a little glue won’t fix. The trumpet looks great with that nice lacquered look. The valves sound good and are springy from the start. I did not notice any sticking or slower valves and I was pleasantly surprised to see each cave has an engraved number on the outside as well as a matching one on the inside so making assembly after cleaning easier for the student. As for sound and feel this thing felt good in the hands and I was able to get some notes out. I am originally a woodwind and only recently started playing brass so I do not know much in the way of proper technique but I was able to play pretty easily. Overall this is a great option for anybody wanting to dip their toes into trumpet playing.

Such. An. Amazing. Trumpet. Alright so I got this little pocket trumpet kinda just for fun, wasn’t expecting much honestly, it’s so smol. But dang, it actually plays?? Like, full real notes and everything. The valves aren’t janky either which shocked me cause I’ve messed with cheap horns before that felt like stirring peanut butter. This one actually feels smooth. It’s super compact too, fits in my backpack which is nuts. I wouldn’t take it to a fancy gig or anything, I mean it’s not that kinda horn, but for practicing or messing around at the park or whatever, it’s solid. It does need a decent mouthpiece though, the one it came with was meh. Anyway, if you’re curious or just wanna toot on the go, this little thing’s weirdly fun.

I was pleasantly surprised with this. It feels solid and not flimsy, and the valves move smoothly without sticking. It’s comfortable to hold, and everything lined up well right out of the case. The finish looks nice in person and doesn’t look cheap. It’s been fun to play and easy to take with me since it’s so compact. The case is decent and keeps it protected, and I like that it came with the extra accessories so I didn’t have to buy anything separately. Overall, I’m happy with it and think it’s a great option, especially for the price.
