I am a non-trumpet player (trained on trombone years ago) who wanted a pocket trumpet so I could blow some Don Cherry-kinda free jazz and "non-ideomatic music." This fit the bill, and far exceeded my expectations in terms of quality. Am I going to take this to the Boston Symphony? Of course not, but that's not what these are for. The compact size and slightly stuffier tone is perfect for certain niche types of jazz, or broadening your tonal palette. Buy for around the cost of a good mute or two and enjoy.

TL;DR: A solid pocket trumpet for beginners or casual players, good value, comes with everything you need to get started. I've tried this pocket trumpet out a few times and it's made of high quality materials. The gold lacquer brass finish looks and feels well built for the price point. It comes as a full kit with a 7C mouthpiece, hard case, gloves, and a cleaning kit, so you're not scrambling to buy accessories separately, which is a nice bonus for anyone just starting out. Supposedly the Bb flat tuning is standard, so it plays in line with a regular full-size trumpet, just in a more compact form. This is a pretty nice trumpet for kids or adults. The smaller size actually makes it less intimidating for beginners, which is either a great feature or just a clever way to get people to pick up a hobby they'll later spend thousands on. 🎶 Value is good, especially considering everything included in the kit. If you're buying this for a child, the compact size is a real advantage for smaller hands and arms. Just make sure they're getting proper instruction early on so they don't develop bad habits that a full-size trumpet will later punish them for. 🎼

This is a really nice option if you’re looking for something small, portable, and beginner-friendly. It looks good, comes with everything you need, and is easy to carry around. The sound is decent for practice, but it’s not the same as a full-size trumpet. Overall, it’s good for learning or casual use, but not something you’d rely on professionally.

I got a trumpet but did I have a pocket trumpet? No! I thought having a trumpet in a more compact form factor would make it easier to tote around and play. Waiting to pick up my kids and want to embarrass them at school? Check. Reveille? Check! I also think the winding tubes look cooler. This thing looks great. It comes in that generic zipper case and that is fine. It looks good and comes padded so it is nice and safe. I did notice the little plastic pocket for the mouth piece was loose but nothing a little glue won’t fix. The trumpet looks great with that nice lacquered look. The valves sound good and are springy from the start. I did not notice any sticking or slower valves and I was pleasantly surprised to see each cave has an engraved number on the outside as well as a matching one on the inside so making assembly after cleaning easier for the student. As for sound and feel this thing felt good in the hands and I was able to get some notes out. I am originally a woodwind and only recently started playing brass so I do not know much in the way of proper technique but I was able to play pretty easily. Overall this is a great option for anybody wanting to dip their toes into trumpet playing.

I was pleasantly surprised with this. It feels solid and not flimsy, and the valves move smoothly without sticking. It’s comfortable to hold, and everything lined up well right out of the case. The finish looks nice in person and doesn’t look cheap. It’s been fun to play and easy to take with me since it’s so compact. The case is decent and keeps it protected, and I like that it came with the extra accessories so I didn’t have to buy anything separately. Overall, I’m happy with it and think it’s a great option, especially for the price.

Such. An. Amazing. Trumpet. Alright so I got this little pocket trumpet kinda just for fun, wasn’t expecting much honestly, it’s so smol. But dang, it actually plays?? Like, full real notes and everything. The valves aren’t janky either which shocked me cause I’ve messed with cheap horns before that felt like stirring peanut butter. This one actually feels smooth. It’s super compact too, fits in my backpack which is nuts. I wouldn’t take it to a fancy gig or anything, I mean it’s not that kinda horn, but for practicing or messing around at the park or whatever, it’s solid. It does need a decent mouthpiece though, the one it came with was meh. Anyway, if you’re curious or just wanna toot on the go, this little thing’s weirdly fun.

The pocket trumpet weighs 2 pounds and 2 ounces. The mouthpiece weighs 3.2 ounces. The mouthpiece is 3.462 inches long. The rim of the mouthpiece is 1.065 inches in diameter. The cup of the mouthpiece is 0.637 of an inch in diameter. The bell is 4.040 inches in diameter. Overall the pocket trumpet is about 8.887 x 6.5 x 4.875 inches. The case weighs 15.1 ounces and is 10.799 x 8.44 x 5.226 inches. The case has a double zipper, strap handle, removable adjustable shoulder strap, molded foam interior, spot for the mouthpiece, and side pocket. The pocket trumpet comes with white loose fitting gloves, 2 cleaning brushes, cleaning brush on a plastic flex tube, thin fabric bag, and buffing cloth. The pocket trumpet's silver toned finish is glossy. The valves are smooth and rebounding. The pocket trumpet sound is bright and rich in the tone of B flat with a bright rich. The size is compact and tight. The right hold has a half ring for the pinky insead of a full ring, which I found to be not as secure and was a disadvantage when holding in one hand to clear the water valves or when using a mute or plunger. The third valve side has a ring for the thumb which can be moved while playing. I found it to be stiff and not that easy to move. The first valve side does not have a ring and cannot be moved while playing, which is a disadvantage. The first valve slide is stiffer than the second valve side and takes some force to move it. I had to slide the first valve slide and wiggle it at the same time by the metal nub when the pocket trumpet was laying on its side. I could not get it to move until it was wiggled. The case has an odor that transferred to my hands which is a disadvantage. The side pocket on the case is tight and hard to store anything inside it.

Wow - this is an extremely cute and well made pocket trumpet. It arrived well packed and with a case and all accessories (including a white glove!). The case is sturdy and soft inside. Though the picture shows two straps - it came with just one. The trumpet itself it well made and shiny. The brass is hefty and sturdy. No defects in craftsmanship or functionality were noted. Sound is good and smooth and range/tone/pitch is correct. It looks beautiful too. The small size truly makes this portable.
