I have set this up in my basement, but it will eventually end up on my porch (when it’s built!). The fabric which makes up this chair is soft but not smooth. It’s a bit like a corduroy without the ridges, comfortable. There are a lot of ropes supporting this chair, forming it into a shape that will hold you securely without any worries of tipping out. I like how the back of the fabric rises up enough to completely support my head. I put the two small pillows behind me to support my head as well. I’ll probably get some other pillows for various places as well. I think one under my thighs would be good as the edge of the fabric does press into them. In that regard, I might make a sling so that I could stretch out my legs and have my feet supported in front of me. At the moment I find it most comfortable to either curl up completely in the chair or to stretch out and rest my feet on the wall next to the chair. The ropes that support the chair are well-designed and supported by the heavy metal tube that hangs over the chair. A length of shiny metal chain is also provided. Unfortunately, there is no other hardware included that you could use to attach this to a ceiling beam. I used the hardware that I had already installed to support my punching bag, but having to switch them out to use one or the other probably means that I won’t use the punching bag as much! ... show more

This is a cozy little hammock chair that allows you to relax from your porch and take in the fresh air. You’ll probably won’t to add a few pillows for extra comfort. I can’t test the weight limit, but at 240 lbs it feels plenty secure. The mounting equipment is not included, which was pretty obvious in the description but wanted to reiterate. Reviewing SONGMICS Hammock Chair, Large Swing Chair with 2 Cushions, Hanging Chair with Chain, Load Capacity 330 lb, for Indoor, Outdoor, Living Room, Bedroom, Slate Gray UGDC197G02 I won't be able to test the sturdiness of this hammock chair until the spring, when we're able to get a hanging stand for it. But as far as the construction goes, this hammock chair appears to be very well and thoughtfully made. The cushions are a little small, but they're nice and squishy once they've had a chance to be out of the box for a little while. It looks just as well made as some other more expensive brands. Once I've been able to put it up and test it out, I'll come back and update that part of my review. So far, so good! ... show more

This hammock chair seems to be a pretty decent quality. I got it taken out of its packaging and ready to hang on our patio. I’m just waiting for weather to improve a bit now. The cushions are nice though. And all the ropes and the chain seem to be a good quality. The color looks good too. It’s not faded or dull looking.
