These were perfect for starting my seedlings. I appreciated the silicon bottom for removing the seedlings and watering from the base to encourage root growth. The plastic is not the sturdiest, but I had no issues. I was able to clean up the trays after for later use.

The soft silicone cells make removing seedlings very simple, and the roots come out with much less disturbance when it is time to transplant. The main downside is that quite a bit of soil can leak out through the drainage holes, especially when filling or watering the trays, so placing them on a solid base tray is almost necessary to avoid messes. I am enjoying using these seed starters. They are easy to use and clean. And are durable. My first round of seeds have come out beautifully. I transferred them to small pots today. So easy to push up through the silicone bottom and pop them out into my hand. I enjoy using the small tools that have come with them, they are perfect. I got the primarily for the ease of transplanting onions without having to fight a whole tray. They work really well at that with each row coming out individually. However the cells are surprisingly small. So small I fear anything other than onions will get root bound before being strong enough to be potted up. The cause of this is from the manufacturer wasting space on a plastic lip to make it look nice. I would have preferred no lip and a little grip notch at the end like they have on the bottom to remove the cells. Oh well, onions are fine with being root bound so these are still useful for me. The higher domes are nice as they allow a few more days of humid growing before I have to remove them. It comes with the standard plastic add in junk but the trays are what matter. ... show more
