Disclaimer - I am not a tattoo artist, I thought it would be fun to practice on fake skins and fake skins only. You need to have certification in blood pathogens to tattoo yourself and others. I wanted to start tattooing and eventually try to get an apprenticeship in the future but wanted to get a kit first, to see if this is something I would want to pursue. The kit is decent the ink that comes with it is okay for fake skin but I don’t know how well the color will hold on skin, very thick consistency. The needles I do like but if you plan on doing traditional I would get some bigger round liners with this. I have no complaints about the machine itself besides not being able to see the voltage for you machine so you will have to go based off instincts. Make sure you set your needle depth correctly as well to prevent damage and invest in good quality fake skins if you want to take it more serious. Cheap fake skins will feel like your tattooing rubber and not “skin” Please do not tattoo yourself without watching and researching everything you need to know about being sterile, prepping your needles and the skin and inks properly and your inks. You want to do this so you don’t get an infected tattoo which can cause serious harm to you and your skin. ... show more

It's my first gun. I've already given myself a tiny tat and it worked great. I followed the advice or buying better ink, but the included ink was great for practice. Well worth the purchase.

The media could not be loaded. I liked the fact that usps delivered this to my address and handed directly to me. Logistically the purchase was exceeding all expectations. The product failed within 1 minute. Don't waste your time on this purchase. They won't make it right by upgrading it to the model they know works.. why is this even available on Amazon? The media could not be loaded. so you want to know if this is a good beginner tattoo kit and regardless of what u heard on YouTube by multiple different tattoo artist, this is a actually my first time getting a tattoo and using a tattoo machine. I've seen multiple people saying that the foot peddle to use the machine turns off in 10 mins more or less but for me I was using it longer for 10 mins and it didn't go out on me once of course this might be different for other people but for me this was a pretty good first time experience and absolutely worth the money for beginners in my opinion ... show more
