I was skeptical when purchasing due to the price, but this is a great bag. It looks like a high end bag. I've received compliments and have been asked where I got it. Sure, one of the times involved interrogation and it being full of stolen goods- but they were clearly impressed. It is much larger that I thought it would be. It can easily fit a 3 ring binder, legal notepad & a 15" laptop, If you really wanted to show some class- it would make a great lunch bag. A person could fit a whole box of Lucky Charms and a quart of milk inside. No one would know about the magical deliciousness until you pulled that bad boy out in the break room. Well, unless they took a peek inside- because there are two open compartments that don't have zippers. The padded sleeve compartment for your laptop zips up though, which is nice. So to summarize: The Good- Very spacious Looks great Smells normal (might be odd to admire, but if you've ever purchased a cheap faux leather item that smelled funky, you'll know what I'm talking about) Price Good quality The Bad- (keep in mind, the bad is only bad if you're like me and didn't pay attention when ordering- there wasn't anything misleading in the description) Not all compartments zip up It's pretty flipping big. Great bag, great brand. Have another Solo bag I've had for years that's still fighting the good fight. Wish it had a lock or something to secure it more but found a travel lock works best.

If you need to carry a lot of stuff with dividing sections - this bag is for you...the only draw back is that the bag can get heavy once you fill it up. The only downside i found with this bag is the dowel rods got to slipping after I used it awhile and found that the dowel rods had a tiny bit of leather stapled to the end. this kind of looked cheap and it showed. They should make the leather end piece longer so the dowel rods don't show after awhile. This bag is rugged and will stand up to a lot of weight and use. I'd buy it again. ... show more

One of the wood beams that give the carrying case support snapped, so I am not happy about that. Otherwise, the case has plenty of carrying space. I use it for work, carrying books and folders and papers, and I like it. I just don't think it is very durable.

At first i did like this bag; however after living with it a while I have grown to truly be annoyed by it. Parts of the bag came off after a few months (i can live with this as they were just decorative), But then the lack of pockets started to really annoy as there just is not space to put those things I need to access regularly (but honestly not the fault of the bag it simply doesn't satisfy my needs). Now for the biggest fault of the bag and the reason that i am changing my review. My bag doesn't ever look as you see it in the picture as it simply will not stand up. my bag lays down; FACE DOWN! every time you leave it, it will simply fall over unless you prop it on something! Really annoying especially since the bag it was replacing never did this in the 6 years I owned it. The last straw was when it once again fell over off the table and dumped its contents on the floor (a bit embarrassing). The worst part being, later I discovered a $400 pair of glasses also fell out of the bag, only they didn't make it to the floor and discovered it quite by accident 2 days later. I had already tore my car apart looking for them. I am now going to purchase a different bag. ... show more
