I've historically had good luck with this food -- my dog likes it and he's in very good health. However I can confirm that the review by TurquoiseDuck74A is correct: the last bag I got (a few weeks ago) was also dated "best before May 10th 2023" and we haven't even gotten around to opening it yet as of April 28th. Luckily I have one of those food storage bins that screws shut so I don't think it'll go bad. Also there's a sticker on the front of the bag it's good until August 17th. But I skipped my next auto-order of this anyway, because I'd like to be sure the next bag I get isn't another one expiring on May 10th. Btw, dry dog food isn't exactly "fresh" in normal circumstances anyway, so if you use dry food for convenience as I do, I recommend mixing in some real fresh meat (mine loves chicken and steak) and a little fruit and veggies your dog likes too (mine likes bananas, carrots and celery). Of course when you add in real meat you'll probably want to cut back on the dry food a bit so they're not over-eating. NOTE: they've raised the price a lot since 2022 when it was $50 for a 28 pound bag -- now it's about $70 for a 24 pound bag.

The media could not be loaded. I really enjoy cooking a fresh breakfast and dinner for my dog. At times I send more on groceries for my dog than I do for myself. But lately I noticed that despite being fresh and organic my dog lost interest in the meals I was making. So I thought maybe she needs more healthy crunch in her diet. Maybe she has developed a gut issue. She devoured the kibble immediately. I trust my dog to know what her body needs.

Though the scent of Solid Gold Nutrient Boost might not be to everyone's liking, the real judges - my two chow chows aged 4 and 5 - gave it a resounding approval. The moment I served it, their bowls were licked clean. The enthusiasm didn’t stop there. Come breakfast the next morning, one of my pups was practically jumping with anticipation for his next serving. As a dog owner, the question of whether I'm feeding my pets the best is a constant concern. However, after investing hours into research, I'm convinced that this is the best kibble out there. It's especially noteworthy for dogs with allergies, like my chows, as it's grain-inclusive and uses a commendable amount of named meat meals as its primary source of animal protein. For all the dog parents seeking a kibble that addresses both nutritional and health needs, I can't recommend Solid Gold Nutrient Boost enough.
