For those who have time to deal with cooking spaghetti squash and are willing to find and eliminate all the seeds, more power to you. It's just time I don't have to waste. This product, if you add a little salt to the water, tastes great when you stir in a little olive oil and some of the Mediterranean spices, such as oregano and basil. A little sweeter than a spaghetti squash tastes, but that's okay. I find that adding salt to the water improves the taste. Given a balance between time saved, and time spent baking a squash and getting all the seeds out of it, makes it reasonably priced. ... show more

I love spaghetti squash and often make roasted squash during the season. During the off seasons, it is nice to be able to have dehydrated. It cooks quickly and the taste is, while not as delicious as freshly roasted, just fine. What I take exception with is the amount in the box. Four servings? Well perhaps for four mice. This is a very desirable product for diet reasons. Don't do carbs so this makes the best pasta sub. It is a bit expensive but I think it's worth it. Can use in several different ways.

I love spaghetti squash and was excited to try this. I can only say DO NOT BOTHER. Came out very soggy. Not worth the saved time. I will stick with the fresh stuff. Only gave one star because I can’t leave zero.

I liked the idea of shelf stable spaghetti squash, but the strong smell and texture of the noodle was not pleasant. Even though it was not expired, it still had an unusual taste and the water it was boiled in was extremely dark sleep off.

I used this under my spaghetti sauce - and loved having a very low calorie alternative to pasta! They have less flavor than using fresh spaghetti squash noodles, but that's not a surprise. They have almost no flavor of their own. One serving appears to be very small - but it packs densely into a serving. I thought I would need 2 oil the recommended servings, and regretted it - I had to use a LOT of sauce to cover all of the squash. The package has "4 Servings", but it is barely enough for 2 servings. Boiled to the specified 5 minute and the product was like a mushy paste. Boiled to 3 min and cooled in running tap water was stringy, similar to a spaghetti. Added to my "Hot" sauce, and by the end of the portion the product had disintegrated. Taste of cooked product was not very good. Nothing to compare to fresh Spaghetti Squash. This was a test and it failed. I will not buy this again. ... show more

This is the best product on the market if you are like me… And like roasting organic spaghetti squash as a healthy meal. It’s such a pain to cut fresh squash in half and scoop out the seeds. Then roast it for 45 minutes to an hour… Forget that. With Solely organic dried squash I dump the package into some boiling water and let it cook for longer than the directions call for because I like mine tender. I drain and drizzle with a little olive oil. I placed my container of cooked spaghetti squash in the refrigerator and when I want to make dinner I just scoop out my portion needed dollop some tomato sauce on it microwave it up and add some cheese and fresh herbs. I am so appreciative that this company has freeze dried organic spaghetti squash. It might seem costly but it’s so worth it to have on hand and not go through the hassle of cutting, time of roasting, etc! Thanks a million Solely fir this AMAZINGLY clean delicious product!
