Soldering Iron Tips

Features 5

  • 1[Upgrade & Heat up Quickly]: This soldering iron adopts a premium ceramic core with 80w High Power, which heats up to operating temperatures in 10 seconds, and its heat output to hold at a constant temperature. The 110-120Volt digital soldering iron can be accurately adjusted to 180C-480C/ 356F-896F and switch between C / F.
  • 2 [Automatic Sleeping & Temperature Memory]: In power on state, If the smart soldering iron is placed on the stand for 5 minutes, it will auto decrease temperature to extend heating core lifetimes (LCD displays "OFF"). Holding the soldering iron handle will restore the heating. If you turn off the solder iron at 356F, when you turn it on next time, it will auto heat up to 356F.
  • 3[Clear Digital Display & Anti-scalding Handle]: A high-definition LCD screen display, which indicates the temperature status more clearly, so you don't worry about finding the right temperature and you can really tell how hot it is and accurately control the heat. Heat-resistant handles can insulate temperature effectively to get a long cool handle.
  • 4[Use-Friendly & Widely Use]: Compared with soldering iron station, this lightweight soldering kit for electronics is portable, easy to use or carry, just plug and play. You can widely use this solder kit for welding circuit boards, home DIY soldering, jewelry welding, appliance and electronics repairs etc.

Not bad so far
Color: 80w-blue
I'm giving this an initial 5 stars just for being as inexpensive as it is and actually doing what it's supposed to. Though I do not have the experience or the knowledge to test all the claims made in the advertising. What I do know is that my main goal was just to have an inexpensive iron with some way to control the temperature (even if it isn't 100% accurate). And importantly for me was the auto shutoff feature in which it shuts off after 5 minutes if you're not holding it or moving it and comes back on when you pick it up. That seems like a brilliant feature for the price of this thing. And it works. I wouldn't leave it plugged in unattended just as you likely wouldn't do with anything that heats up. And especially knowing that sometimes things that don't cost a lot don't cost a lot for a reason. The included tips are just about the only thing I will ever use out of the rest of the included accessories. The solder seems OK for maybe a couple of quick cheap and dirty jobs. The flux seems nearly useless. The stand is next to useless but you're not going to get a decent stand with a soldering iron this cheap. I tried it out. It works. It didn't combust. I'll call that a win for now and update my review later down the road. A few things of note.... The power cord is predictably a little stiff and the strain relief is not the greatest. So you're really not going to want to try using the included stand. You want it in a real stand. Or else you will likely get burned or burn something around your work area. Not much else I can say. My first soldering iron in the 80s was a cheap one from Radio Shack that probably costed more than this. And I'm pretty sure it only came with one tip. I would not buy this expecting something that could stand up to a lot of hard use. Though maybe it would. But I doubt it. It's doubtful anyone with a legit soldering station would bother with this thing. The handle stays relatively cool and I found no issues there when using it. ... show more

Quality Soldering!
Color: 80w-blue
Works exactly as described, quick heat up, and comes with multiple Soldering Heads. Moves in 1° increments when using the + & - for heat control. Gets extremely hot, so although it has auto-sleep definitely unplug after use and make sure it is on a surface with a melting point above 480°C (or propped upright). Definitely an awesome find! ... show more

NICE, so I bought 2 more. Can't beat them. Just right for electronics, and a little more power.
Color: 80w-blue
Works way better than expected. Buttons pretty straight forward, will remove beefy parts, no base to take up bench space and good price. I bought 2 more, should test them I guess, as spare for me and one for a friend. I have two batter/ac units I love, but this took is aware, all my wellers of 35+ years died, have 1 desk one I like (aoyue), but the lack of a base adds room, price let you throw it in the car.. Used the one for a couple weeks, off to test the other two just in case. Other stuff in the bag, tips OK, solder I have spools and lots of flux. ... show more

Pencil: good; accessories and instructions: meh.
Color: 80w-blue
There's a lot to like about this soldering pencil, and a number of things that are a disappointment. First off, I'm using this pencil exclusively to install hot set brass inserts in 3D printed objects. Temperature is set to 240°. Did not calibrate. THE GOOD: • Temperature control with readout. Easily visible numbers. • Simple temperature setting (2 buttons). Remembers last temp setting • 3-prong plug that actually grounds the tip (good for working on static sensitive electronic parts) • Quick heating and recovery (didn't time warm-up, but seems close to claim of 10 sec.) • Works very well out of the box for inserting hot set inserts. THE NOT SO GOOD • Instructions printed on back of the box, which you are likely to toss unless you cut it out. How about a printed sheet, clearly translated? • Instructions, especially "calibration," are difficult to follow. Calibration info makes up 80% of the operating instructions. You should not have to calibrate the product. Who has a thermometer that goes to 320°C, anyway? • Haven't tried the included solder. The sponge for tip cleaning is about half the size of a postage stamp and easily lost. • One video shows a nice plastic case and printed instructions. Product comes with neither. Complaints aside, the pragmatic approach for installing inserts is to try it. If the pencil heats too quickly or two slowly, adjust the temperature setting. Price-wise, it's OK. ... show more

Great for a beginner!
Color: 80w-blue
I bought this to learn how to solder and as a first time it works great! It automatically heats up to the general temp of solder melting (like 320) and then you can adjust the temp from there if needed. The solder tip cleaner is basically a tiny foam pad and I’d reccomend getting a proper one or even just a better wiping surface (I used a scrap piece of fake leather). It’s simple and easy to use and the inclusion of several different soldering tips is great. Cheap and easy. ... show more

Best iron I have ever bought, works great.

Works as advertised. Heats up fast
Color: 80w-blue
I recently went on a small amateur radio expedition (DXpedition) to the Galapagos Islands (HD8M). I needed an inexpensive and portable soldering iron for the tool kit so I bought this one. I used it a couple times before we left just to be sure it worked and to change the display from C to F. It heats up faster than I expected and did the couple minor jobs at home easily. Once on the island, I needed to solder three things. The first two went smoothly but on the third the iron didn't seem to stay hot enough. These were small jobs soldering ring terminals to 18 gauge copper wire. On the last one, I think I saw the numbers flashing as if the iron had an issue. In all fairness, we had problems with the AC voltage at our location and I now believe that the fluctuating voltage may have confused the soldering iron (it has a circuit board in the handle to regulate the temperature). When all three radios would transmit at the same time and if we had an air conditioner, coffee pot, or toaster oven running, the lights would go dim or flicker. More than once this caused our radios to reboot. I think this is what caused the soldering iron to struggle a bit. After I got home I checked to be sure the ceramic element was intact and that the tip was still ok. I plugged it in and it heated right up. No further issues. I tinned the tip with fresh solder and will put it away until the next trip. One observation... probably because of the way I held it, once or twice I accidentally pressed one of the buttons to adjust the temperature. It didn't change by much. I'll have to pay attention to how I grip it in the future. I would definitely recommend this to someone who needs an iron for occasional use. If you solder frequently (more than once every week or two), you might want to invest in something more robust. KE2D ... show more

Was looking to replace a broken tip on my old soldering iron. Instead, purchased this new kit with better variety of tips than my old for the same price!
