Description

Small-sized Head with Big Soldano Sound! The Soldano SLO-100 is one of the most legendary high-gain amplifier heads of all time. That said, at a hefty 50 pounds, it’s not exactly gig friendly. On the other hand, the SLO Mini amplifier head compresses the classic SLO design into an immensely portable package that’s loaded with uncompromising Soldano crunch, clean, and overdrive! Clocking in at a mere 4 pounds, the SLO Mini pushes out 30 watts of power through your cab of choice, boasting the articulation- and harmonic-rich tone that’s been the Soldano signature since 1986. In addition to sporting iconic Soldano style, this amp features a control set that will be familiar to any fan of the SLO series — a 3-band EQ and gain, master, and presence controls offer impressive tone sculpting abilities. If you’re after even more versatility, the SLO Mini’s Normal/Deep voicing and Crunch/Overdrive switch take you

  • Bought by accident. Didn’t return.
I recently bought the Soldano SLO mini, by complete accident, thinking I was getting a phenomenal deal on a mis-priced SLO 30. Turns out the mini (which I had no idea existed) literally came out that exact same day I was scrolling unintentionally for an SLO 30 and happened to be 30 watts as well - though solid-state. I basically decided I was going to return it before it even got here, but YouTube videos convinced me to at least pull it out of the box and try it. I’ve never been able to get such a variety of lead (something my playing has been missing) sounds dialed up so easily - aka not overly complex - hard to explain, almost like a “cartoon” amp. Not the cleanest sounds supposedly - as the mini version doesn’t include the clean channel, but clean enough I’d say, especially for what you’d likely be trying to get from a 339. This honestly makes practicing more fun, and it picks up the hollowbody overtones in a great way. I just plugged my Epiphone Casino Worn in tonite for the first time - really cool. I have loved the feel of my epiphone casino so far, but haven’t plugged it in much. I thought I just didn’t like the pickups, but they sound good through this amp. This is the case with my 50s Vintera Strat as well. I love the feel of the guitar but it hasn’t seemed to agree with my vintage tube amps. It sounds great through this Soldano mini, which I looked at as a joke and would never have considered buying on purpose. Still 5 stars, but I don’t understand why it wouldn’t have a headphone output. ... show more

  • Hope yours is better.
Did not sound like the videos, not even close. Makes me think it was defective.

  • Small amp, huge volume
This little amp rocks, it’s definitely louder than I expected, easily powering a 4x12. I don’t think I’ll push volume past 12 o clock. Sure it’s not that versatile mostly being useful for shred/metal genres, but the knobs and EQ are quick to adjust the tone and you can set it up well. Effects loop works well with pedals, I use it with reverb and delay to give it more dimension. ... show more

  • Sounds ok but very single use
This amp will not operate unless it has it's own dedicated speaker cabinet. tried a splitter and feeding the line directly to a mier then out to my marshall cabinet which I share with my Blackstar, Bugera and Marshal 50 watt. the only way this amp will work is with a dedicated speaker cabinet. that should be said in the tech specs. ... show more

  • Very misleading information
Not a tube amp. Not even close. Use your brain though people. $250 for a tube amp...yeah ok

  • Can I use this to tube amp to power my modified Leslie 122 which accepts a 1/4" input?
Can I use this Soldano SLO Mini 30-watt Amp Head to amplify my modified Leslie 122 which accepts a 1/4" input? I also have four internal mics that I mix my pianos with into my MG16XU, then send a 2 channel signal from my mixer to the main mixer board for my band. I would strictly use this to power the two internal rotary Leslie speakers, which are rated at 25 watts but can drive more. I would adjust the Soldano volume to match my max peak on my keyboard, which I use a volume pedal with. ... show more
