The on/off handle is very stiff. I cut most of the clear tube so I could hoist the bag high enough to get good flow, but still reach the on/off handle. Otherwise it’s worked well. One bag mostly full gives me 2 quick showers. I lay it down clear side up as that heats up faster

They work as advertised. As they can store 5 gallons of water! what I do is to transfer the warm/hot water to 5 gallon bucket on the floor of my privacy tent and use it with a pump camping shower hanging the shower head. This bags (or anything having 5 gallon capacity) are too heavy to hang them from the privacy tent). I recommned this bags, as you can shower with warm/hot water just leaving them in the sun. ... show more

There's "inexpensive" and then there's "cheap". This is the latter in all respects including its basic design. 1) The flow control valve is located at the bottom of the bag (NOT at the shower head). Unless you're built with the arm length-to-body height proportions of an orangutan, it's impossible to have the shower head above your head AND reach the valve. 2) The filler port plug is extremely difficult to close and impossible to open without a pair of pliers. 3) ...and it still leaks. 4) The hose from bag to shower head arrives folded. And kinked. After a week in the sun attempting to get the kinks out, they remain. This cuts the water flow rate way down. 5) The hose attaches to the flow valve with the valve pointing straight down WHEN THE BAG IS EMPTY. When you fill the bag, the attachment angle changes to nearly horizontal. With the hose hanging down, this puts another kink in the hose, further reducing water flow. 6) The only positive is that the bag came with a little hook on a string. This does make connecting the bag to a rope nicely quick. ... show more

Over this past summer I tried out a portable shower bag to bring a long camping with us as I have a young child and wanted a way to be able to wash her hands. So we bought these for a Camping festival we are going to, we have used these before in the past but we actually bought some of our own and let me just tell you these really do the trick! I layed just the bag itself out in the sun for maybe 5 mins and it was so hot I couldn't even touch it. It holds a lot of water for what it's worth. It does become quite heavy as it fills im sure that the top handle is durable enough to handle it but i didnt want to take any chances. It heated up fairly quickly, cold water to see how fast it would heat up to a reasonable temperature. I layed it on the hood of my car for about 30 mins and it was perfect! The hose has a bit more pressure that I was expecting I was very thankful for that. However it doesn't have a lot of pressure because there is no pump to it, let gravity do the work and it's great. It's best if the hose is pointed to the ground to get the best pressure from it. Other than that it is very simple to use and it even gives instructions on how to clean it before the initial use of it on the front of the bag. I had a good old American made sun shower that I used for camping in the 80s/90s and it was only marginally better than this one. There are certain practical limitations this form factor encounters; namely that it is a bag of water with a hose on it. Water is not light, this operates through gravity only, and generally speaking you're not going to get a shower like you have at home!! That being said, it does drip somewhat from the valve, and the valve would be better placed at the showerhead rather than the bag. But it was 8 freakin' dollars. Come on. ... show more
