Using to watch my dogs throughout the night, works perfectly. Love the night vision and how the camera is able to do motion detection. I've had this camera for about a week and have not needed to plug it in to a wall outlet (solar power is working). I have used this company's cameras before, but this one is a bigger upgrade with the built-in battery and solar power. The swivel and spotlight are just as good, if not better than their other cameras. The price is cheap, the resolution is good, I've been treating it for almost 4 months and I really like that it charges solar, you can add storage space with an sd card. The only thing they should improve is that when you want to watch a recorded video it doesn't take so long. And that when he wants to see live he also thinks for a few seconds. Installation and software all easy to set-up and get going, including the 64Gb SD I installed. I followed instructions to the letter, even fully charged the camera as described before installing the camera above my front porch. Stunning image quality, day or night and stores recordings right to the SD card no problem. Super bright spot light. Illuminates some 20 feet away. Picks up audio from about 15ft away, clear and audible. The mic also lets me speak to someone on the porch but it's poor quality. The Siren provides little more than a rubber ducky sound and almost useless. That aspect is not a big deal for me. But I had to mention it. I suspect I have a fairly typical setup. You can see the camera and solar panel on the upper left of the photo and the corner of my front door on the right. Camera is about 9ft above my front porch. It all worked as described until about two weeks into using it. The camera spontaneously shuts off and is unresponsive to software reset or pulling the camera down and manually trying to reset, restart, or power on. I pulled the SD card and tried to restart it, no joy. Red lights come on and then turn off within 2 second. Oddly enough it registers a Bluetooth signal but no wireless connectivity. A couple of days after the initial problem the camera simply started working again. A few days later it experienced the same power down and unresponsiveness issue. It has now become a cycle, off and then on. The security camera is unreliable. I contacted what I thought was tech support from the Cloud edge App. Got a reply a day later redirecting me to the Amazon seller. Okay, I get it. That was CloudEdge support and not camera support. I'm close to the cut off date for return or refund so I really don't have time to jump through more hoops. I've got to say that the CloudEdge App was was not written for an everyday person like me. Navigating the software is not user friendly. System utilities are not labeled, no clue what anything does. I had to push every icon to figure anything out. Not at all clear. The software is clunky in that regard. I had no idea what an upsidedown flask with a line down the middle meant? Pressing that icon opens another area with similarly un-decernable menu items. I cannot adequately describe just how frustrating this is for me. Maybe it's me? But I doubt it, I have a tech background, dated, but technology is not foreign to me. In my opinion, CloudEdge really needs to be redesigned for our part of the world. At this writing I intend to send this thing back. Perhaps my experience is a one-off issue? I really don't know? But at this point my frustrating is so high I am not willing to try again. Take my experience for what it is, mine. Maybe you'll have better luck? ... show more

This camera works great for what it is. It’s very reliable and user-friendly. The solar panel, generates enough power to run throughout the night. I should mention that the solar cameras do not track motion. In other words, if a person walks by, it will not follow that person. It will send an alert as a person passages by but it will not follow the person as they move. ... show more

Not only has the camera exceeded my expectations from purchase to date! Camera was easily installed instructions were straightforward and there are no words for the peace of mind I have with the reliability of the camera! On top of that Morecam customer service was amazing when I had a question about purchasing another solar panel they responded fast and able to get me a new solar panel after a bird hit mine head on!     • First one was awesome. Second is dead. (Updated - 3x)
Update #3 - I went from a 5 star rating to a 3. My first one still works well. The second one suddenly wouldn't hold a charge. I tried a couple things, no luck. I had it up for 4 months. Tried to contact the company - ZERO response. I think I had it up and running in 5 minutes. The install is ridiculously easy with just 4 screws into a mounting plate on a post and then 4 more screws (all included) to hang the housing. The app is super simple and the microphone works almost a little TOO well. It's picking up a barking dog down the road. The panning takes a little more finesse than anything. Night vision is fine. I absolutely plan to buy a couple more. Update: I bought it mid-September and just had to charge it for the first time today, December 1. I just plugged in the solar panel and it's charging quickly on this sunny day. It still works well and I am very happy with it. I still plan to buy more. Update #2 - 2/4/23. I just installed my second one. I probably had this one up and ready in less than 5 min. It's at the back of my property so I bought a wifi extender and that's all working so well. As one might expect, the solar panel works great in the sun but we've not had much good sun. I brought it into the house for charging. As it's easy to reach without a ladder, I just took it down to bring it in for a couple hours. It charges quickly on a wall charger. I think I just charged it for the third time? ... show more
