I had a rock bed where soil migrated due to rain. It was the perfect solution for me to scoop the gravel / soil mixture and to separate it. It is a little small but worked nonetheless. I'd recommend a bit larger diameter but that did not detract from its performance the fact I will use it again (probably several times).

This was a little small, about the size of the opening on a 5 gallon bucket. Great for small amounts but slow going larger amounts. The screen also pop out pretty easily but after you learn how to hold it correctly that stops.

I purchased this to separate rocks and debris from dirt to create a succulent pocket garden in a desert climate. It’s held up so far and has gotten the job done but wow, it’s really tiny (my fault for not confirming the dimensions so I won’t reflect this negatively in my rating). The design of the 3 interchangeable screens seems to help it with durability but it’s not the most functional. Utilizing this involves a lot of assembly and disassembly. To improve the efficiency, I started using one of the screens in combination with a metal colander thing (that’s probably jot actual a colander but intended for some baking some strange cake). Overall, for under $20, it’s reasonable but I wouldn’t pay more (Eg: It’s currently up to $24 pre-tax).

One of our planting beds had become littered with small rocks and gravel. it would have been difficult to remove all the rocks and gravel. The solution was scooping the soil into a garden wheelbarrow. I used this sifter, a shovel full at a time, to remove all the rocks and gravel. It's a bonus to have three different nesh sizes to work with. For the flower bed soil I used the largest screen.
