I really like the heavy body soho brand because it's thicker to paint with than the more creamy/liquid kind. Plus most of the time doesn't need more than one coat. This came pretty quick in the mail too and in new shape.

As I started moving onto larger pieces, I was going through my preferred Winsor & Newton Professional way too fast. I’d go through a 250ml tube in just a couple pieces, and it was costing too much. I tried these (now have about a couple dozen different colors in this line). Not the best quality, especially considering I’d call these ‘student grade’. And Hues are never as rich as pure pigments. But at this price, especially for a large piece with bold, heavy colors, these have been a godsend. They are highly glossy finish, but that’s easy to fix with a sealer. I’ve learned to wait 4-6 weeks (at least) before sealing these. All in all, I’m going to continue purchasing and continue using. I can’t give 5 stars because they aren’t ‘professional’ quality. But they fit a niche perfectly! I’d highly recommend giving them a try. [I didn’t like them for the first few weeks. It took some time for me to appreciate them. This review was written about 2-3 months after I started using them.] ... show more
