They haven't had it available for a reason price. I had purchased 2 for about $13 or $14 dollars and now I saw just one for almost $19.00 some for even $30 ? That's too pricey. Relaxers worked on my hair fine until I started having kids. After that, my hormones would not allow my hair to take a relaxer. I was natural for about 10 years due to this and my hair is so long and thick it would just take forever to do my hair so I decided to try a relaxer again for convenience. I went with Optimum after reading the reviews. The first time I relaxed all of my natural hair and it came out amazing! This time I did a touch up on my roots. This is a great relaxer I just recently purchased and waiting for my order to be delivered I haven't relaxed my hair in almost 3 years this the last relaxer brand I used and it gave me some amazing results. To you Caucasian Hispanic and Bleached or Colored consumers this product is not for your hair texture cosmetology 101 never relaxed colored treated her most at home box colors contain bleach or if you did it with a professional and they lifted your color that means they used bleach so that means you cannot relax your hair. Hence this is why you guy's hair is falling out in clumps or you getting the porcupine effect. I am sorry for laughing you all out over these rules but it's funny 😂😂😂💀💀 y'all make horrible decisions and blame the product this typical human behavior. Blame yourselves for not being familiar with black women hair and culture if you knew better you would do better. I will be editing this review and show you all the end results and how to apply the product correctly. Stop blaming the product and blame yourselves for your poor decision lack of cosmetology knowledge on black women hair and culture 🤷🏾♀️ I SAID WHAT I SAID Up date: See ladies this is how you process a relaxer the correct way my hair has not been relaxed in almost 3 years. The fro is my before this morning 6/26/2021 and the relax hair 5pm 6/26/2021 clearly I was right I applied my relaxer myself and I got excellent results as usual of course from this relaxer do you see breakage nope hair don't shed while blow drying it on high heat or burn. I didn't even flat iron or style my hair yet because it's best to water 24 hrs before brushing and applying heat after a relaxer. So I just put a non tension ponytail with out a brush only a comb and just put a bow on gently and lightly. This is my got to relaxer if you follow the steps and take no shortcuts your hair would come out great. So for some insight, I do have fine “Caucasian” hair, but it dries wavy, I bought the regular strength one and I don’t understand why people don’t like this product? For starters, DO NOT use this if your hair has been bleached, it WILL fall out. I have about 2 inches of bleached hair on my ends that I’ve been slowly trimming off the last few years and it 100% turned gummy and stretchy and broke off. Also, use the protective serum on your scalp, it did burn me a little in the places I missed. Step 6 and 7 can be skipped. Step 7 is a very thick cream that made my hair feel disgusting, almost like I poured candle wax all over my hair. It took a couple of washes to get it out. My hair didn’t dry 100% straight but it did dry 98% straight which is a huge deal! I can finally just shower and brush my hair and let it air dry without having to blow dry and straighten it. I definitely recommend this product, however if you have ethnic, very coarse curly hair you may need a higher strength and not the regular, you just have to be very careful using it. *****EDIT***** So it’s been almost 3 months since I purchased this and I have to say that it did not work for a long time, maybe the first three or four washes it would dry semi straight, after that it went completely back to drying wavy/curly. it made my hair feel very dry and brittle. Also no matter how many times I would brush my hair it would knot up. I feel like it did a lot of damage and I won’t be purchasing it again. ... show more

Decided to give this a try to see how I like it. It does it's job, but good lordy be careful if you have any cuts or irritated skin on your head. While rinsing, it got into my ears, and I guess I had some cuts in there. Burned like you wouldn't believe. Two hours later, it still hurts. But the product itself is cool, though I'd recommend seriously conditioning your hair after using it, 'cause it might come out a little fried/dry. ... show more
