I bought this as a backup battery for my Snow Joe/Sun Joe multi tool (telescoping pole with chain saw, hedge trimmer, string trimmer attachments), which I am very happy with. The battery it came with works well, has a long life, and came with its own charger (as it should have). Everything about the replacement/backup battery appears identical to the original, except for one critical thing: the charging port is a different size, and the original wall-brick-and-cable charger will not fit! That makes this battery totally worthless, unless I also buy the slide-in battery charger (for an additional $30+). What a rip-off! At least the slide-in charger will charge either battery, but this little "feature" should have been disclosed up front. I would have given it five stars based on its performance alone, but the incompatibility issue makes that impossible. ... show more

Purchased as a spare but the charger I had with my original battery the tool came with does not work on spare. The port on battery is not the same diameter so I returned it. Why sell same battery with different charging ports ? I should not need to buy another charger for same battery

So I order the replacement battery with all the same numbers as my original. Use it once & the battery dies. When I went to recharge it on the charger from my original battery, the single prong DOES NOT FIT !! How absurd is THAT ? Now I can't recharge my new battery and in looking for just chargers to order (which I shouldn't have to do) I can't even find a recharger to order ! I'm waiting for a return call from SunJoe but I am irate that they changed the prong size. I'm half-way thru cutting my hedge, have a dead new battery, a useless charger for the old dead battery and apparently will have to buy a new charger from SunJoe. Absolutely ridiculous. ... show more

I received the SnowJoe snow blower as a gift and purchased extra batteries because the first use showed one set would not last the driveway and sidewalk. Used the SnowJoe and it was fantastic and a great value versus what others spend on snow blowers. UPDATE: The batteries do not charge in cold/cool temperatures. The sticker indicates keeping indoors, but an insulated garage is not warm enough, they need to be kept inside a climate controlled home. I tried charging mine for days and finally tested charging inside the house, they began charging as they should. You need to let them rest after use for a few minutes before charging and allow them to warm up if cold prior to charging. It seems odd they struggle in cooler temperatures since I use them with the SnowJoe snow blower, but once they are charged they work well and the blower, while smaller than others, does a great job. I lift mine slightly to allow the front edge to get a closer skimming of the snow and it works well. ... show more

I had to give it 1 star just to be able to write this comment otherwise they get 0. Battery was dead on arrival. The only good thing about the purchase was that Sunjoe replaced it with an upgrade. The process took weeks since this battery was no longer in stock, and to compensate me they upgraded the battery to a better version, which was also back ordered. Altogether after purchasing this I didn't have a working battery for over a month and a half. ... show more

Yes, value for the money is great but it would be nice having your battery,charge and running would last longer than around 30 minutes. Need to have a additional backup batteries to complete your work.

We just purchased this replacement battery since we love the SunJoe garden tools. Unfortunately, this newer battery still takes about 5 hours to recharge. Anything less gives us only about 20 minutes of use. Disappointed that this newer generation is not any better.
