It works well if you don't expect it to perform like a "real" snow blower. We live in the north east and used in the couple big storms so far this year. Run time is about 25 minutes in dry snow about 18" deep. Same run time in wet snow, but I had to knock it down to less than 12" deep with the shovel first. Our driveway is about 20'x20' and I can clear it twice on a full charge. It throws the snow about 10' (further for dry, shorter for wet). The auger is metal with a rubber edge. Check all the bolts frequently. We had one come loose and I had to get creative repairing the auger. Use stainless steel hardware and locking nuts if you have to replace anything. Pretty much all other components are made of plastic. Everything has held up well except the plastic blade for scraping the ground broke off when I hit a spot that was packed pretty hard. The batteries are sturdy and charge decently fast with the included charger. They have a USB C PD port built in. It will push 20v at about 65w. Bought it on sale over the summer and am overall satisfied with the purchase. I would not pay full price for this. At ~ $600 I would buy a small gas powered snow blower. ... show more

Ordered 24V-X2-SB22 in September on sale. Came with batteries and charger. Stored unopened in box until today. Pulled the batteries and charger and plugged them in. My son and his friend put this together easily by looking at the box - without instructions! They grabbed the batteries and went to work. Handled 5 inches of medium wet snow. Cleared the driveway with no issues. They did not mess with the snow plowed mound. Update 12/01/22: Third decent snow of the year. Worked well for the first 2 snows., but batteries life is limited with heavy/wettish snow - runs out in about 35 minutes, which was not enough for the back yard patio and front driveway. When I was on the second run today, the machine would start intermittently and run only about 2-3 seconds before stopping if it started at all. Batteries are fully charged. Sometimes the headlights come on and sometimes not. I think it has an electrical problem. Pulling batteries and discharging capacitor did not help. Have it in the garage warming up to see if that could be the reason, but it is just 32deg F outside.... Will be calling for possible replacement after a little more trouble shooting. Update 12/22/22: Snow blower worked fine after warming up in the garage. However, now one of the batteries is now dead. It will not charge and shows no LED lights for charge level. The blower will not run on just one battery - cuts off in a few seconds. Other battery appears to be fully charged. Update 01/23/23: Changed rating from 4 to 5 due to great support. Although out of the Amazon return window, the blower was covered by Snow Joe's warranty. No single battery replacements were available, so Snow Joe said I could return the first snow blower for replacement. They sent a return shipping label. Be sure to save the original box just in case! Be careful making a purchase decision based on the reviews here. The reviews are for various models with different prices, features, capabilities, and apparently, dependability. I ordered the 20" model with (2) 4ah batteries. I received it and found the safety switch/action bar switch housing that attaches to the right side of the handle bar was broken making the device unusable. I figured I could easily replace the broken part myself so I contacted Snow Joe by email and included photos of the broken part and requested they send me one. They replied within a reasonable amount of time and said they don't have the part and would send me a shipping label and I would have to send the entire machine back and they would send a replacement. I reboxed the machine, affixed the label, hauled it 15 miles to a UPS store and sent it. To their credit, they shipped the replacement as soon as UPS notified them of possession of the broken machine. After 2 snowfalls which I shoveled and 5 days the replacement arrived unbroken. I assembled and charged both batteries overnight and it snowed 4" that night. Excited to use my new snow blower, I installed the batteries and fired it up. Lights came on, the machine gave a satisfying whirrr and I opened my garage door and attacked the 4" of dense but not wet snow. Snow belched forth from the chute as I eased into the snow on my smooth asphalt driveway and I went about a foot and.... the machine quit. I tried a slower approach to try to keep the rpms up. Went a foot...quit. Tried just taking a swipe overlapping the previous, to lighten the load, went a foot...quit. I estimate that it would have taken about 24 hours to clear my driveway at this rate. I tried changing the batteries' positions, applying silicone to the chute and auger, resetting by removal of the batteries and then activating the switches to drain capacitors. Nothing helped. Thankfully I had purchased through Amazon and I have returned it. I can not recommend this model based on the 2 I received. Fragile and underpowered or overly governed circuit. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I think when purchasing one of these you have to understand it is a light duty snowblower. Suitable for walks small driveway areas. It is very easy to assemble, battery time was about 30 minutes, ambient temperature outside was below 32° f.
