I wasn't expecting a lot from this mask and snorkel set. I called my ophthalmologist before I ordered it, and he said that because I have astigmatism, I shouldn't expect to see very well when using it. But I ordered it anyway, just on the off chance. Well, I must say, I was blown away. First of all, this is the best mask I've ever had in terms of watertightness. I've always had a problem with leaking masks (which can really ruin your snorkeling experience). This mask leaked *not a drop*. The antifog coating actually works. And it's also the best snorkel I've ever had – absolutely no water got in, unlike with my other, more expensive snorkels. But the best part: I saw absolutely perfectly when I went snorkeling--no blurring, nothing. I'll never bother with an expensive prescription mask again. If this one gets lost or damaged, given the price, it's no big deal. I recommended it to everybody on my snorkeling boat expedition.

These goggles were life changing. With my near sightedness, I could never see while snorkeling and never understood the appeal. When my wife booked a snorkeling trip on our Hawaii vacation, I knew I needed something that helped me see underwater or I wouldn’t enjoy the snorkeling. Prescription masks from optometrists were way too expensive and would have taken forever. This was a great choice for a reasonable price. Seeing fish and coral and sea turtles on our vacation was brilliant! I recommend these to anyone who is nearsighted. They did not leak even with my beard. I went snorkeling nearly every day that we were in Hawaii. It was awesome! Remember to use a bit of baby shampoo mixed with water to help with fogging.

This doesn't appear to be high quality but it worked great on our trip. I printed out a vision chart and did my best guess at the -2.5. It worked excellent for the 3 swims I did with it. Long term I'm concerned about durability but happy with the purchase.

The idea behind this snorkel set isn’t bad, and for the price, it could’ve been a solid buy. The prescription lenses were spot-on, and I could see clearly underwater — when they weren’t scratched or damaged. Unfortunately, the first set came with scratched plastic lenses, and the replacement arrived used, with sand still inside the mask and one lens popped out. The quality control is definitely lacking. It’s not bad for the price, but the lenses aren’t scratch-resistant, and that really hurts the experience. If they improve the lens material and quality control, this could easily be a solid budget choice. For now, it’s more hassle than it’s worth.

I knew I wanted a mask like this for nearsightedness as I no longer wear contacts. I tried to figure out what strength to get and a discussion with my eye doctor didn't really help narrow things down since I have different values in each eye. So what I did was go to a store (Walmart in my case) and tried on the various strength of reading glasses. I settled in on the -2.5 based on this. I went a with a little lower strength than what I would have gotten in readers (-3.0 seemed the best in this case) because the water will naturally magnify a bit anyway. These work absolutely fabulously! I didn't even realize how well they worked until I got out of the water and took them off for the walk back up the beach to get my regular glasses. It was amazing viewing/clarity for me.

I can't wear contact lenses anymore and wasn't sure how I would be able to snorkel on a recent trip to Mexico. I purchased this prescription mask and was thrilled with it! It fits great and the quality is very good. My prescription is very different in each eye, -4.5 in one eye and -6 in the other. After doing some research, I decided to order this mask in the lowest strength (-4.5). I see great underwater... the water itself creates some magnification, so the weaker eye was fine. If I had gone with the higher strength (-6) or anything in between, I think it would have been way too strong and would have given me a headache. Don't hesitate to buy this mask and snorkel. You will not be disappointed!

This is amazing! As a glasses wearer I was unsure of how I would be able to enjoy snorkeling on our cruise to the Bahamas. This was perfect! I ordered the strength closest to both of my eyes and it worked perfectly! I could use these as my glasses if I needed to. Also the price was the same price it would have been to rent the snorkeling gear so win win.
