We've owned several snorkels, and been generally happy with mid priced snorkels. I ordered this as a backup for travel or if an old one breaks. The mask suction and fit was excellent for both my spouse and I. I am petite and he is tall. It was comfortable with good visibility and was airtight. It didn't pull on my hair any more than my other snorkel masks. I was less impressed with the snorkel itself. I felt like the mouthpiece tube was bigger than others so I had to keep a better grip on the rubber insert into my mouth. And the top section that keeps it from allowing water in if you dive seemed to limit air intake when you're at the surface, so I felt like I was breathing harder to bring in air. Because of that, this would not be my go to set, but I might mix and match the mask with another snorkel. I did like that it came with its own carrying mesh bag, and while I don't use ear plugs that was a nice add. ... show more

I'm 63 and this is the first home I've ever owned with a pool. Too bad I'm not 13 instead as that was when I wanted to only be in a pool more than out, lol. Anyway to revisit a bit of being a youth in a pool this mask and snorkel caught my eye. It came in quite quickly and was in fine shape. The first thing I noticed was the supple and pliable silicone. You get a great seal with this soft silicone with the added benefit of it being extremely comfortable even if you like it snug as I do. The snorkel in engineered and executed well for a low-cost set like this. It's a combo of firmer plastic and silicone small parts. The ball and cock works extremely well keeping out the water when I dive. There is also earplugs which at first I discounted, soon I was thinking "why not try 'em" and they work rather nicely too considering how simple they are. They keep out water but when there is no water they allow a degree of ambient stuff to be heard. This is a great addition to things that elevate one's pool experience in my humble opinion. My wife loves the mask/snorkel too which, frankly, I did not expect and count this as a bonus. In terms of affordable recreational masks/snorkel sets this could well rate a 5. I'm rating a 4 because you would probably prefer a higher quality professional set for sea snorkeling. For pools and shallows this is perfect. I should mention it is very easy to adjust all straps. My last mask was a very long time ago and the only thing I remember about it was that it was uncomfortable. This one, I, along with my wife's agreement, is very comfortable. ... show more
