My husband wanted something for our upcoming snorkeling trip. The front zip design seems easier than the typical over the head style. It was easy to inflate through the tube and the zip was smooth. The mesh on the back is nice for making it feel like a full vest. The edges all appear well sealed and stitched. The big problem is that the instructions are lacking. After buckling the waist we saw that there were two additional buckles. My husband hadn’t noticed the black straps that came in the package. It took a bit of experimenting to figure out how they attached for the thighs. First, clip in the buckle. Next, pull apart the Velcro strap, third, take the end of the Velcro strap and put the end through the plastic loop at the 90 degree angle to create a loop with the Velcro facing outwards. Then step through the loop created. You may want to adjust the height of the strap so the loop is closer to your crotch. Lastly, tighten the thigh strap so that it’s close but not snug around the leg before joining the Velcro back together. Adjust the straps on land first and maybe readjust in a pool before going into deeper water for your safety. Without the thigh straps the vest will ride up and become ineffective. This snorkel vest by Jurmickey is easy to put on with the zippered front. This is perfect for snorkeling as it will keep you afloat on the surface and help you stay out longer and enjoy the sights. It's very quick to inflate by pushing down and blowing on the rod and just as easy to deflate by holding down the rod while pushing out the air. I got my kids the snorkel vest that has no zippered front and those were easier to deflate completely. The zippered vest because it is divided in the middle requires more effort to squeeze out the air. This set comes with a nice carrying storage case which make it easy to travel with. It also came with 2 straps which I can only assume is for attaching it to your lower half. No directions on how to use the straps so you just have to do your best to jerry rig it and figure out how best to use the velcro straps to attach to your legs. A bit confusing to me. ... show more

I am 6’3” @ 195 lbs. Fits well and is easy to inflate and deflate. Provides nice floatation. The material is nice. Not as heavy duty as some snorkeling vests, but at an affordable price this fits the bill for the vacation / amateur swimmer or snorkeler. Nice package.

I decided before we went on our spring cruise I would purchase my snorkeling gear instead of paying the same amount for a rental set. For this vest I'm a fan of the (Caribbean) blue, and it has straps that go around each leg instead of the one strap that goes in between your legs and is very uncomfortable, especially for guys. Zips up snugly yet does not pinch anywhere. Good buoyant vest that still allows great flexibility and I’m able to maneuver well in it. Quality craftsmanship. A safe design that isn’t too expensive. Not professional grade in my opinion, but good for day water trips etc.

I really like this snorkel vest because it feels more secure than the kind I am used to wearing that you put on over the head. This one zips up and has both an adjustable strap around the waist as well as leg straps which are also adjustable. It is much more comfortable to wear than the other kind. It is easy to inflate and deflate. I find it easiest to inflate it after putting it on, and then adjusting the straps once it is inflated. You just push down on the valve stem and blow air into it, then when you're done you let go of the valve stem and it returns to it's original "up" position which seals it so air doesn't come back out. Deflating works in reverse - push down on the valve stem to let the air come out and then squeeze the vest. Again when you let go of the valve it turns to it's original closed position. These snorkel vests are great for helping you to float while snorkeling, but they're not designed for swimming and shouldn't be used as life preservers. ... show more

This inflatable vest is so convenient. I like fly-fishing standing in rivers and sometimes in a float tube. I already have bulk from the fishing vest, so it is not convenient to have on a bulky life vest as well. This is great, because it isn't bulky until you blow it up. I can wear this having it partially filled before any incident happens. Then if I find myself in danger, I can easily blow it up the rest of the way since the valve is so accessible to your mouth. Although I haven't tried it on the water yet, I did leave it filled for three days, and no problem with leaking. Great value. ... show more

This vest is vastly superior to another snorkeling vest I own. That vest fits over your head like the ones used on airplanes. This vest has a front zipper, making it much easier to put on and take off. Straps around the waist and legs make sure you're secure. Inflation happens by blowing through a tube, and you deflate by pulling teh nozzle upwards on the same tube. This vest will fit most adults, but when inflated it might be a little snug on larger adults. (I'm 5'11" and 178 pounds, and it fit me fine when inflated.) There are other vests available, but in my opinion, this is the one to buy. Currently there's a 20% off coupon, making this a real value. Recommended. ... show more
