Description

Another great sniper elite game! I own all the other games and this one did not disappoint. Harry hawk does the job just as well as Karl from the other games. Graphics were spot on and sound effects are excellent. Some missions were a little too easy on the early first 3, then the rest were really good. I just finished it and it took about 12 hours of play to do this on the normal setting. I really enjoyed this and will replay it again. Hopefully Karl will be back in the next one and it will be an upgrade on the last two games. If you like sniper elite 4 and 5 you will enjoy this one. number 4 is my personal favorite. ... show more

It’s Important to know that up until now, we’ve been playing as Karl! But now, we take the Helm of Harry for the many Challenges of Stealth, Flanking, Tactics, Escapology, and Using a Rifle for an Overwhelming amount of Kills against the Nazi Regime! It’s still a sight to behold, with the “X-Ray” function still looking fabulous as always! Plus, The added Challenge of both Main and Side Quests helps ensure that whatever stands in your way, you stop at nothing to bring down the Ultimate Threat! Of course, we can’t go without mentioning the added bonus of Multiplayer Tournaments! I’ll never forget when my friends invited me to a few matches during the Beta testing, and a couple of AI players were absolutely smoking us at every which way! ... show more

I have played all of the Sniper Elite games and I really enjoyed this one, I tend to play on easy due to migraines and when I play it is after work to de -stress, I really enjoyed the game play on this one. Excellent game play and graphics. I would even play through again. I enjoyed the game.

    • When greed takes over
Sad. It was such a great game series but already the last installment showed that the greed got more important for Rebellion than anything else. Resistance feels like a simple remake of SE5 with slight story changes, The Missions are extremely similar, too. But the worst part is that you will completely play the campaign in about 8 hours (normal mode) . A 70$ game should last much longer than that. Especially when additional levels are already ‘available’ on day one. It is a rip off! Instead of adding that into the game they try to suck out even more money from you by pushing you to buy add ons and season passes (And the Season pass for SE5 was absolutely worthless, so why bother with this one?) Rebellion seems to try to squeeze the last drop out of this Game (and the players) without investing anything new. ... show more

The quality is lower than previous deliveries and despite purchasing pre-ordered in advance, it did not come with the pre-order bonus nor did they send an email with it, It's not a bad game at all, it's entertaining but it doesn't improve or it has nothing that other games like sniper elite 4 or 5 do better like maps or animations, wait for the price to drop, my advice ... show more

    • Early users are Beta testers
I already wrote one review for this on Amazon and it was rejected. I did mention that the game which is a shooter by nature is violent. And that young kids shouldn't play it. This is up to the parents. Beyond that I am an avid Sniper Elite fan from the early versions beginning with Sniper Elite 2. I gave my first review five stars. But now I have downgraded to three stars. The main reason I downgraded two stars is that the more I play this newest version I find it is full of bugs. The more I play the more I find these frustrating. So those of us that picked up this game as soon as it came out are essentially the beta testers for the builder. Examples of the bugs: In one scene I dropped down off a plaform onto concrete. But fell through the concrete and into water? I could climb out but could not move anywhere? I ended up trying to swim out and the character just sank and died. I had to end the session. In two other sessions that I have already played through twice with no issues I could not complete the objectives because the game did not loccate the obstacles correctly or at all. Typically when you select an objective you get a distance meter when you get close to the object. The last two sessions I was iterally standing on it but there was nothing there? If I had not played through it at least twice already and found the objectives with no problem and actually knew right where to look for the files etc. I would think I just wasn't finding it. But I know better. So I end up leaving that missions and losing points because I could not complete all the objectives. Then there is the character just getting stuck. He cannot go forward or backward. He is just stuck. You have to end the session and lose all of your progress. And when I say end the session I mean shut down your PS5 and relaunch the whole game and restart the mission. If you reuse your previous save you end up stuck again. The character also seems like he cannot at times even mantle a sidewalk let alone a low 2 foot high wall. In Sniper Elite 5 the main character can climb over or jump or most anything like this. He has also climbed a stairwell and then could not turn and go back down? Almost like it became a misssion boundary. Very frustrating and a henderance to being able to move around and locate your objective. So there are lots of inconsistancies or bugs like this from one session to the next. This is frustrating and it should not be the case. Especially since the creaters really did not make any major changes or improvements to this new version. It is Sniper Elite 5 with a new central character and new, but significantly smaller zones to explore. So at the end of the day it is a downgrade from Sniper Elite 5. I am someone who has played over 1000 hours on 5 alone. I like the game. But the bugs are a major frustration when you pay near $100.00 for a deluxe version. All this being said I assume the bugs will get worked out. Overall if you are a fan then I would say buy this, or wait until those of us that bought it early find and report all of the bugs, then you might enjoy it more. I can't say the game is a dissapointment, but I will say it is a major downgrade from Sniper Elite 5. That version significantly improved the whole experience and also created great and much larger zones or worlds to explore. This also allowed for more objectives and a longer gaming experience. Seems like the builders this time around went for a downgraded version with much less to offer the user. Even the one DLC which, much like in 5 you are given a mission to hunt down and kill Hitler. In 5 this DLC was expansive and had numerous bonus objectives to complete for points. In this new version, you have found and killed Hitler inside of 10 mins. The last time I played it Hitler was so easy to apprehend the main character Harry just ran him down and used his knife vs. shooting him. Honestly they could have left this whole DlC out. It is not challenging to say the least. If this DLC that you get with the deluxe version is any example of any future DLC's for this game then prepare to be dissapointed. In Sniper Elite 5 the last DLC "Kraken Awakens" is so intensive and so chocked full of challenges and snipers everywhere you really have to be on your toes to get through it. So it is a fun challenge. I still play is it, as it provises at least a hour of fun gaming vs. 10 mins in the new release's one and only included DLC thus far. Time will tell if the game's creaters will take heed and be a bit more thoughtful and generous with the upcoming DLC's. As it stands I am not sure I would buy this game for the price right when it comes out. I would wait until they at least fix all the bugs. As for the DLC's, time will tell if they even create and release anymore of them. Seems like they are on a budget. ... show more

One of my favorite PlayStation franchises. I love the Sniper Elite games. I own all of them. Great game play. Amazing graphics. Searching for Intel. Super long shots. What could be better? Sneaking up on Nazis. Highly recommended.
