This is a great kit for any drummer. The practice pad is made of wood with a rubber pad over it. Fairly standard. It’s a nice size. But what really was impressive about this kit is the stand. It’s a snare stand that It is fully adjustable. It can be set to any height or angle. It holds the practice pad tight like a snare drum. Very solid. Does not move. My son has even put his snare drum on the stand and said it works great. Happy with this setup.

The stand doesn’t work. I’m not even sure if the stand I received goes with this practice pad. It doesn’t seem so but since there are no directions or pictures.

I personally bought this after I sold my drum kit awhile back and I can't stop using it. This is perfect for beginners who want to test the waters and see if they actually want to get into drumming. It's so satisfying to hit and even if you don't drum or plan to drum seriously it's so fun to use! This is so worth the price and the quality is shockingly good. It even comes with a carrying case! 100% worth the money.

Definitely far better than the tiny little "para-diddle" paddles decades ago. This is a very good large sized pad and with a nice case and drum sticks! I always wanted to learn to do a great drumroll.. and this is a perfect tool!

The media could not be loaded. So, does this feel just like a drum or does it even feel like the proven standards as far as practice pads go? No. I will say though that it is close enough to other practice pads that it isn't a bad alternative. They also give you 2 pairs of sticks and what not too which is pretty great. So I can't complain. All in all I recommend.
