This rug looks great and is really soft. After the 2nd trip through the washing machine, however, the backing came apart. There's a layer of foam under the grippy stuff that came off in 100 tiny pieces. My cat barfs on this rug a lot, which is why I wanted something that was machine washable. Every time it goes through the wash a little more of that foam layer ends up at the bottom of the machine. I have two other chenille rugs without the no-slip backing that I prefer. ... show more

The first time I washed the rug - it came out looking like on the photo. The backing inside was ruined and clumped together. I washed it on a gentle cycle and this still happened.

The length and width is perfect for my needs but it’s not as soft or comfortable as I had hoped. It’s not necessarily uncomfortable but it’s not great. I recently purchased a smaller version locally and it is fantastic; however, I needed a second but it was not to be found. This one is a fair substitute but unless it softens after a wash I will not be sad to let it go when I find a match for my original. However, If this had been my first purchase I’m pretty certain my opinion probably would be more favorable because I wouldn't have had a comparison. ... show more

Would not buy again. It’s been less than 5 months and they are lumpy after washing and do not lie flat or straight. Does not keep it’s shape. Very disappointed.
