The smell is not that strong and it is kind of hard to get it out of the packaging. It has the blue wrapper on the outside, then a plastic seal wrap that's vacuum sealed. I don't think I would buy this again. I had originally bought it as an alternative to Vicks shower steamer but the Vicks helps so much more than the mint in this pack.
