It's such a pleasure these days to unwrap something you have just ordered, and be pleasantly surprised at its unexpectedly great quality. That was the case with this Olanly toilet rug. The rug arrives trussed up in a tight cylinder. When first unrolled, it appears deeply creased. I figured the rug would take a day or so to flatten out, but the wrinkles vanished pretty much immediately. I wasn't expecting this rug to be as plush and luxe-feeling as it is. There is a lot of padding to it, so there is a good amount of cushioning under the nice velveteen fabric. It feels really really nice on bare feet- so cushy and soft. For an inexpensive rug, it’s decently constructed. Personally- I don’t think I would wash this rug in very hot water or put it in the dryer. But that’s just me. The rug got pretty wet the other day during an unintended parting of the shower curtains incident, and we draped it over the back of a chair, and it dried in no time. I’ve found that if you keep things out of the dryer, it tends to give them a longer life. I shopped around extensively before purchasing this rug. There are cheaper rugs available at a certain big box store that starts with “W,” but for only a couple of dollars more, this toilet rug far exceeds those in quality. It’s not flimsy; it doesn’t slide around; it’s nice and plush; it’s substantive; and it looks really nice. In fact, I’m just about to order another one. Highly recommended.

We got this carpet because our bathroom floor cannot stay dry. Whether it's because of random occurrences kids or just people not knowing how to not drop water on the floor, we don't know, we need a solution, so this was the first test to that solution. It arrived in pretty decent packaging without any holes or anything. So as that should be a given, it was really appreciated. The mat itself is a little bit small but 2 feet can fit on it as can be seen in the pictures, which is good enough considering that this is going in the bathroom. So we put this right in front of the bathtub aka the problem area and in front of the toilet so people can put their feet on something that's not ceramic tile. And I will have to tell you that this thing stays pretty warm and it's pretty soft. Very comfortable for the feet. The real amazement comes in the fact that this is supposed to absorb water and keep your floors dry. The main reason that we got it for. And for having people who cannot stop water from getting on the floor or don't clean water coming off the floor...... I have yet to feel water on that floor with that carpet sitting right next to the bathtub. We would have water on the floor at least multiple hours during the day until somebody cleaned it up. But what this map there our floor in that bathroom has been meticulously dry to our complete amazement. The mat somehow even went absorbing water manages to get dry within less than an hour and a half itself and that's from being fully soaked. I don't know what type of material that this is or anything but I've never seen anything So impressive. I know a lot of people hate wet bathroom floors, especially cold bathroom floors. This solves both of those problems easily. We don't know if we have to take this thing out and let it dry out in the sun from all the water it's absorbed, but this thing has managed to stay dry no matter what. It's managed to stay so dry after multiple drenchings of our bathroom floor, that we are concerned that we are not doing something right in terms of finding a way to get rid of any leftover water residue or anything left in the mat.....If there is any. This has been probably the first time that something has been described as a water absorbent mat and it actually do exactly what it says to such a degree that it makes us question ourselves if we're supposed to be doing something to help it. But regardless, considering the softness and a warmth of the mat...... We're going to get another one and put it in that same bathroom. But this time a much bigger one because it is that soft and it is that comfortable.

I rec'd this today and almost gave it a 5 star rating. The only reason I did not is becuause I have to be honest. I love the color, I love the memory foam feel under my feet. It is very soft, and I will measure it again, but it sure seems smaller than It appeared to be. As for the 4 star rating, when you look at the photograph you can see the areas that are sewn to give those nice looking plumped up areas you stand on. I do not see those on mine. I realize these may surface after its had some time to fluff up. It was vacuum sealed. I am actually hoping it does because it just looks so much better that way. But if it doesn't, I will still use it and enjoy it and I am sure it will keep my feet nice and warm which is what I am after. Thank you for shipping it so fast. So far really am enjoying it. And would recommend.

It's okay. It's soft and moisture trapping but as far as memory foam support, no definitely not but about as thick as a.folded towel. The thumbnail picture is very misleading.

Purchased 3 - contour, bath and vanity mats. Really like these - they are super plush and soft. Seem to be absorbent as described. They do move around a bit but not as much as what other brands I have purchased. Did use some alien tape to secure the contour rug. So far, very pleased with my purchase!

Update: after 2 hours of shaking, lint rolling, etc to try and get all the backing pieces off I finally just had to throw them away. More backing was just coming off so it was pointless. Extremely upset as these had amazing reviews from thousands of people. Maybe I got defective ones? Or are the reviews bots? Who knows but one wash on gentle cycle should make them fall apart. Really upset…to pay $50 for the big rug and $26 for a smaller one that say machine washable. I bought both (this big one and a matching small one) a while ago but they are in a bathroom that is barely ever used so I just now washed them for the first time. I washed them on the gentle cycle in cold water. I open the washer and the backing had started to massively break down and I have millions of little backing pieces all over my washing machine and the rugs. Up until washing them I would have said I loved them but bathroom rugs you can’t wash is ridiculous and these things have now made a complete mess in my washing machine. I’ve spent the last hour trying to clean up the rugs and maybe see if they are still useable. I took them outside and shook them to get as much off as possible. I’ve used a lint roller and now I’ve got them in the dryer to try and pull off the all the little pieces. I’m very disappointed as it looks like even if I do use these on the floor I’ll have to just throw them away versus wash them a second time. Very upset to pay that much for a rug that falls apart. The pictures are after shaking, lint rolling, and using the dryer for an hour (no heat just tumble to pull off the pieces).
