After reading a bunch of the bad reviews on some of Smatrees other cases I was bit hesitant with this one. Pros: Might be water resistant but honestly I wouldn't trust it. Seems sturdy and buckles are heavy duty. Cons: As you can see by the photos there is quite a difference from the advertisement photos. 1. The cutout for the drone is so large my Mav 2 Air just floats around and is not held in place. 2. The cutout for the controller and joysticks is just terrible. The controller doesn't quite fit with or without the joysticks. 3. The SD card slots aren't even there on mine. 4. The battery cutout is sloppy as you can see in the pic. 4. The battery charger cutout is also useless, see attached pic. Definitely the last Smatree product I will ever buy. ... show more

    • Very Solid and Perfect Fit
I like being able to fly multiple missions in a single day. I'll often use up a battery simply finding good angles or setting up video runs. So having multiple batteries is a must. This case allows me to store my Mavic 2 Zoom (with one battery installed), 4 additional batteries, the controller (with sticks attached), spare sticks (I'm getting some extension sticks for finer control) two micro sd cards (yes, there are two tiny slits that fit them very nicely), the charger, cables and a few other odds and ends. All of this is in a fairly solid, sturdy case with locking latches. Everything fits perfectly as well - with the propellers attached no less. The Mavic fits snugly, without any scraping or pressure put on any part of it. The batteries go in only one way and fit snuggly - no wiggle room at all, but still very easy to grasp and pull out. The only thing that wiggles a tiny bit is the controller. I like that I can leave the sticks on - it saves a bit of time an bother - especially in colder weather with thick fingers. :) Can't say too much about it's waterproof feature as I haven't tested it. As for durability, I gave it 5 stars on the construction feel and build more than anything. I really like the hinges as they hold the lid up so it won't slam back down on my fingers.     • Better than expected.
I spent 9 months looking for the perfect case. This was almost perfect. Better than excepted. Even pelican and SBK. Wish I could find this quality which incorporated in the layout; an iPad/Tablet mount holder. You can fit one, just not as I would like. First drone was the Mavic Pro, bought cheap case to protect while looking for a quality one. This purchase was back in October, but only commenting now after 6 months of use. The case is strong thick plastic with excellent latches. This case can withstand a decent amount of weight placed on top of it. 210lbs broadcast camera guy with camera needed something to stand on and used my case with drone in it. Saw that across the field and put a stop to that. No damage to case or drone. Very impressed. The molded foam is good quality, dense closed cell material. This will last. Lid foam is standard hard case airated foam that you would find in all hardcases. Have been rough on case being in a hurry. No issues, no damage to case or drone. Case will house the Mavic Pro; but is very tight fit. I trimmed the inside to accommodate. I upgraded to the Mavic 2, perfect fit. It will fit nicely with the blades mounted. I recommend never travel or store with blades on. Negative comment. On delivery, there was an over powering toxic odor when I opened the case. I left it open in my garage for two days, and purchased some extra dry gel packs to keep in case. Cleared out all odors. ... show more

    • Actually pretty good!
I was a little skeptical about getting this because I traditionally went with pelican cases. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of it! The badge on it was a little crooked but the parts that matter (foam, handles, shell) are great. I wanted a case that I can put loosely in my trunk and not really have to worry about. If you position the drone at an angle you can even launch from this case! ( I wouldn't try landing on it as its a little small for that ) Overall in glad that I bought this, and recommended this brand to my friend with an original magic who ended up snagging one for himsekf. ... show more

    • Very nice case but scraped up and marred upon arrival
I bought this case to store my Mavic 2 drone. The case is very nice, sturdy, and very well made. The only issues I had was the condition in which it arrived. The emblem was scraped up on both sides of the case. It had obviously been scraped pretty hard against a few things before being shipped. Why would a company ever ship a product that looked like that? Do they not have any quality control in that department? Did they purposefully send it hoping I’d not bother to send it back? I haven’t bothered (btw) but I’m still annoyed by it every time I see it. If it weren’t for the scrapes, I’d totally recommend this case to anyone! As for the company... I rated the material quality and build at 5 stars because they appear to be excellent. I didn’t rate the water resistance because I haven’t had the opportunity to test that yet. This was purchased for my brother for his Mavic pro 2 and so far it does the job. I gave it 4 stars because he hasn't had it for long to determine durability, water resistance etc. However, it is a hardshell case. Looks very solid and sturdy. The clasps appear strong and good quality hard plastic. The padding inside seems shock absorbent enough. I don't know about the water resistance yet as it has not been submerged in water lol (who would intentionally do that!). So far so good. The pictures should be able to give you an idea of the overall appearance of the case. He is very satisfied thus far. If there is any further update i will update this review . ... show more
